Stopped by Helenius in 4 rounds.Well that puts an end to the Kownacki hype. I am still surprised that there are posters on this forum that Kownacki stood a chance against a top 5 fighter in Ruiz and Whyte. To think PBC turned down millions for him to fight AJ so they could use him against Wilder. Now AK will get neither.
Haha sorry mate @Potwash called that completely wrong, guess all the big guys have got a chance at heavyweight.
Always said Kownacki was an awful boxer, look back at my post history. Also what makes it worse is that Helenius is shot to hell, has no engine past 6 rounds and is also carrying arguably the worst chin in Heavyweight boxing after Price.
I feel sorry for AJ or whoever has the WBA belt when Helenius mandatory is enforced. Actually feel sorry for the promoter of the show as how the hell do you sell AJ v Helenius for example as a huge ppv.
No worse really than Puddings Parker, Povetkin, Takam, Breazeale, Molina, Ruiz - just another pudding on the plate
Great prospect yesterday, pudding today...how many times have we seen that in the heavyweight division? We shouldn’t write these lads off after one defeat. For example, both Joyce and Dubois are going to do well in their careers but on the 12th April we’ll be on here dismissing the losers career chances, saying we knew he wasn’t that good etc. Kownacki is a very good fighter, whom was guilty of relying on his chin too much to get him through fights. He got chinned and he’ll improve from it. Helenius is a big puncher, he’ll always have a chance in the first few rounds.
Never rated him as a top contender mate but he may have a career as a page 3 girl in Poland with those tits
Unlike the other divisions, you can't really rely being a sole pressure fighter, and being tough enough to endure the punishment with the massive weight difference. The heavyweight division is not for long careers unless the boxer masters their craft. These obese behemoths live the pub life, and train in the pub. No athlete that walks into those rowdy bars walks out without a black eye, especially against these uncultured barbarians!
Agree with the sentiment but losing to Helenius is not a good look. He’s been done for years and was never all that to begin with.
The guy needs to defend Its just nonexistent Really fun to watch but he will lose again if he doesnt go back to the drawing board
