Is this a terribly weak heavyweight era?

In defence of this era I never had the kissing bandit or the Ruiz's overeaters anonymous sponsor in my current top 10.

One of the best HW eras ever, especially enjoyable after the shambles we endured in the last one.

Excitement wise it's not even close, Klitschko era was absolutely dog **** and WAY worse. As far as fighters go, I think today's HW is more balanced. It has less contender/non elite type guys but it's more stacked on top and it works out a lot better this way. I'd rather have 3 guys at the top and less contenders than 1 guy and a whole bunch of people who have no chance of beating the top dog.

Ok but long story short, you're basically saying this era is weak, which it is. (the correct definition of which is lacking real depth. Parity in the ranks of contenders =/= division strength, that's a fallacy)

Over nine Olympic champions and national ones combined , a weak era ? How ? Just because a fighter you like proved a more smoke and mirrors he himself won bronze medal . The era is more geared towards the growing athletic giants which makes it not so weak as Lewis stated this week the guys his size move far better now even guys of 6”9 ,do you know who that is ?

You just probably don’t want to give current guys credit , it’s always the boxing trend , just ask those who followed Lennox Lewis the guy most called boring and average coming up .

You know there is an Olympic champion in every (amateur) division every four years, right? :dunno

That made no sense to me either. As if winning and Olympic medal means you’re just as talented as everyone who has ever won a medal before you.

My initial comment went completely over your head. You’re getting more and more lost.

I’m not lost at all you said winning a medal doesn’t prove anything , are you sure I’m lost and not you two ?

I know anyone who can win a contest in general against another human in a legit sanctioned event has earned it for a reason , what medals have you won out of curiosity ?
