200 lb men can't compete with 270 lb monsters

Or is Fury just a one-off given it still took AJ/Whyte/Wlad all the riods and weightlifting in the world for them to get up to 250 at 6'4" and 6'6"

To play devil's advocate, we only just had an obese fighter who could probably get down to LHW beat Anthony Joshua, a fighter who could be the prototype for super heavy. As we talk, people are eagerly awaiting the heavyweight debut of Usyk after cleaning up the cruisers.

    Not sure it is necessary.

Where do you set the weight and who are the super heavyweights you are trying to move to a different division?

Fury has fought as low as 245, Joshua started at 230 and as recently as the Parker fight was 242. With the usual dehydrating and rehydrating you expect in the other divisions, you could go as low as 225 or even 220 and still get the huge guys making it.

Problem is, the perceived SHWs often don’t actually weigh a whole lot more than the perceived small heavyweights. Like, Joe Parker is seen as smallish but his weight has always been in the same range as AJ’s so a new division wouldn’t change anything.

Yeah that's what is needed, another division where they avoid one another

What would be the point? Firstly, where would you set the limit? Secondly, unless they're giants like Valuev no fighter is going to come in above 300lbs and be in shape to fight so there's no real point in creating a division for those fighters.
Fury really is an anomaly. People his height are rare (if he actually is 6'9 and not 6'7 as some have claimed) and I dunno what it is (genetics or just good boxing foundation) but people his weight don't usually move as well as he does. No point in creating a division for an anomaly

I have no problem whatsoever with the creation of a SHW division. I just see it as another division for Brit Level warriors to conquer and dominate like they do the HW division.

Another category up to 103 or 105 kg should be introduced. It's not fair for someone with 95kg to fight those with 125kg.

I think there's a good argument for looking at the weights at light heavyweight, cruiser and heavyweight, at present there's some big differences in size in some of these contests. We wouldn't accept it further down the weight categories, so why the double standards?

Heavyweight up to 230 pounds and super heavy over 230 pounds. Most heavyweight boxers are about 240 pounds. There would be enough quality fighters in both categories.

Yes, Joseph Parker just weighed in at 245 and Anthony Joshua weighed 237 for Andy Ruiz II.
