If you consider Helenius TKO4 Kownacki a massive upset... don't.

Fear, insecurity, and jealously. Brit Envy has always been a full-blown disease but it's become pandemic of late what with The Gypsy King annexing the final piece of the jigsaw. And he did in on away soil and in the most epic fashion too, moseying on over into a hostile town like a prime Clint circa '64-'66 and administering an absolutely biblical ass whooping for the ages to the now fallen champ harvesting his soul and his WBC belt in the process.

I respectfully disagree here, not in the sense I was ever big on Kownacki, but rather, because I really thought Helenius was more or less effectively finished years ago. Not just shot, but finished.

I think this is a big part of the problem... Ring magazine kowtowing constantly to its American readership.

It's ridiculous how highly they rate PBC/American fighters. Constantly promoting fighters into their top 10 who have very flimsy records at the earliest opportunity.

It's understandable that they need to keep their readership onside. But to include the likes of Kownacki, Hunter, and Rivas, and not include Pulev... where is the integrity?

Gorman's a likeable lad but Kownacki would starch him out fairly easily.

Maybe not. Dubois would probably punch up Kownacki judging by his last couple of performances.

I don't know, I think it's still a pretty big upset. More because Helenius has looked gash for so long and Kownacki - whilst flawed - has been notching up some reasonable wins. Kownacki losing ISN'T a shock, but losing to Helenius is for me

By every objective criteria it was a huge upset. Practically no one gave Helenius a chance and those who did seemed to be mostly wishful thinkers. Betting lines gave Helenius about 6% chance. Even Dwyer who's notorious for going for the big underdogs didn't go for Helenius here. Helenius was a tomato can here.

While I know you're not very nationalistic, this post is literally dripping with it. So, rein it in a little. :D

As far as the actual content of your post, like I said 2 years ago.... Heavyweight is a turgid, squalid, lugubrious, wretched cesspit of a division. So is sitting on top of this shitheap of a division really something to brag about?

Two other things.... some would say, AJ got brained because he thought he was man enough to go toe to toe with that fat Mexican-American, but he learned his lesson and hauled ass like a little puta in the rematch. So fat Andy ended up taking the remaining sliver of manhood that Wlad left behind. And I agree the decision in the Hunter-Povetkin match was debatable, Hunter won it 8-4 and was robbed blind.

While personally.... I don't think you meant anything by it, but George is a wee bit young, so kindly knock off the creepy ass paddling someone over your knee talk. You could see how someone might take that the wrong way don't you?o_O

Helenius was brought in here as a guy who was paid to lose. A name for the record of a guy they're trying to build up, and it backfired badly. You have to be realistic here, this was an upset.

THAT GOES FOR ALL OF YOU.:rosstheboss

This is a thread about how shitty Kownacki is, started by an American. I've been saying he's **** too, for the last 3 years, and I'm an American. Now shut the **** up with all the nationalist bull****, or I'll take a weedeater to this thread and if pushed, start smashing people over the head with my ban hammer.
