For wilder to win he has to catch fury with his best shot that goes right through the target. The way wilder has no way of getting into range against fury means he wont land it. Can he hurt fury with an 80 percent shot? Well yes like he did in first fight but the agent for wilder is that fury gets up every time you put him down. The only time he wont get up is with Wilders best punch which he wont land. Fury will have to be alert and and not too complacent but any fury will do what's he wants. If he wants to really train at his hardest he can stop even better this time and if he wants an easier camp he can still out box him from outside
I fancied fury to stop him in the second fight also, and like you i think he wins the third and probably quicker, But. It only takes one shot from Wilder like you say, and if he can time fury when he is feignting and getting to set himself, if he lands that right hand on him it could be good night vienna, i wouldnt write him off completely.
Totally agree. Wilder can knock out a man with a 2-3 stone+ weight advantage on him. For example, Breazeale isn’t chinny, Joshua landed clean throughout them 7 rounds and AJ is renowned for his power...yet Wilder bingo’d him with one shot. Ortiz isn’t chinny, yet after dominating the fight he ends up on the canvas biting into his glove, and not having a clue what was going on off 1 big shot. Wilder has ridiculous power, and whilst we know Fury has the skill to negate the right hand, one slight mid-fight miscalculation and he’s getting KTFO.
And that is what makes the third even more intriguing... My only concern would be if Fury keeps telling himself it was easy second time around, and totally thinks it will be a formality for the third... It won't and he best be careful...
I dunno, I think Joshua may have softened Breazeale up. I also don't see there being any mid-fight miscalculations on Fury's part. If it goes the same way as the second fight by mid-fight Wilder shouldn't have any arm power to throw those power shots
The third fight is a brand new fight and the second fight is scratched off pretty much, bud. Wilder was about 19ib heavier in that 2nd fight. For a fella who relies on his athleticism, that is a ridiculous amount of weight to put on. Shave 10-11ib off that weight and you have a fighter who’s mechanics (in how he sets and throws) can move a few hundredths of a second quicker. That’s all it takes...I believe if Fury prepares the same and maintains his current mindset, he will do the job on Wilder again. I just think people are downplaying the threat of Wilder significantly after that performance. He was smashed up, but I think Fury can do that to any heavyweight on his day. Wilder is the most dangerous heavyweight in the division imo.
Well, you're entitled to your opinion. But Wilder wasn't much heavier than his second heaviest and I just don't see him landing a lucky shot if he allows to Fury to dominate him again. Best way for Wilder to win is to come out slugging, take centre ring and don't take a step backwards. If he doesn't do that the fight's going to go the same way as the second one

Wilder is a more difficult fight than Tony Dosh PPV without doubt. The man is a huge hitter, showed huge heart in the Fury 2 fight and will always be a danger until the end of a fight. Compare that to Tony Dosh PPV when he takes a mediocre punch - no punch resistance, no stamina and no heart. I would back Wilder to splat Tony Dosh PPV in a similar manner to Big Fraudly.
People must be gutted that the third fight is happening between us, I was one of the few on here who wanted a trilogy. Can't wait for this. The first 2 are classics. I really don't know who wins it tbh. If I had to bet I would back Fury but I'm never writing Wilder off
I'm not sure about that. I think Wilder would spark Joshua out but i think AJ can cause Fury problems with that straight right, especially if he approached it similar to the Wilder 2 fight.
Already one of the great heavyweight rivalries, these guys have ensured their place in history. Imagine now if Wilder wins the trilogy..
Don’t see any need for it. If we’re being blunt, in Wilder’s last 3 fights he’s won about 2 rounds in that first fight with Fury with the knockdowns, lost every round against Ortiz until he KO’d him, lost every round brutally against Fury the second time. He’s just not a very good boxer. Would much rather see the Joshua fight or Fury vs Usyk/Whyte, even Parker over the trilogy fight with Wilder.
