I have a gut feeling that Kambosos is going to beat the brakes off of Selby and stop him in the later rounds.

Surely Mundine wouldn't be fighting again. Didn't he say that was it after the JWP fight, also said even during the training etc he wasn't feeling it. Considering and old ex kick boxer was able to beat him. Zerafa can seriously hurt him.

Huge prediction when you consider Lee ain't ever been stopped in 30 fights and lost just two on the cards ( one early in his career ) , he's adjusting to the new weight well after struggling v Warrington. I like George and wish him well but the fight v Bey can't really be any indication of his level just yet what with Beys two year lay off and one comeback fight v a not too difficult opponent .

The Kazakhstan big man, Kam Kunkabayev, pulled out of his fight with Justis Huni in the semi-final of the Asia & Oceania Olympic qualifying tournament this morning.

Not happy about that. That fight would have been great experience for Justis & I do think he would have won. Maybe the Kazakh thought so as well.

It goes on Justis' record as a win by walkover but it was the experience of being in the ring with the Kazakh that was most important. Not facing him deprives Huni of valuable experience going into the Olympics.

Huni will now fight the 2019 World Amateur Champion, Bakhodir Jalolov, from Uzbekistan in the final. He's more heavy handed & dangerous than the Kazakh. That's if he turns up.

And a correction to comments I made earlier about Johnny Nelson's commentary. He's not the commentator at this tournament. It's Ronald McIntosh. Those Pommies all sound the same to me.

Well done to Justis making the final of this tournament. We didn't have anyone make the final four years ago in any division.

The Kiwi H/W David Nyika is also through to the final. He won his fight against the bloke from Uzbekistan & is a genuine medal chance at the Olympics. Maybe even a gold medal chance.

In all seriousness it's pretty fair here George will be given a fair shake . And I sound like Tom ****ing Jones but not when I'm singing sober .

Jalolov is a beast and would be a red hot favorite to take the gold at the Olympics.

The Kazakh may have a legit injury or possibly thought because he had his spot sewn up no reason to risk fighting anymore in the tourney.
He had the upper hand over Jalolov a few years ago but the tables have turned now and the big Uzbek has beaten him a few times on the trot.

Big ask for Justis but will show him where he sits on the world stage compared to the other seeds.

You're right. Jalolov & the Kazakh don't need to fight Huni. They have considerable international experience already & are only there to qualify for the Olympics, which they've done.

Justis is the one who needs the experience of fighting them.

Fighting the two top amateur Super Heavies in the world on consecutive days would have been the best possible Olympics preparation. I mean, you couldn't do any better than that.

I don't think the result tomorrow really matters. What's important is that the Uzbek turns up & Justis gets the opportunity to fight him. Justis would be severely underdone going into the Olympics if he doesn't fight tomorrow. They would need to arrange some extra fights for him to compensate & you're never going to be able to secure opponents of the quality of the Uzbek & the Kazakh.

If Justis were to knock the Uzbek off tomorrow, there's a chance he could be the #1 seed for the Olympics draw which would be beneficial in the sense that he wouldn't have to beat both guys to win Olympic gold. He'd only need to beat one of them as they would face each other before facing him.

The walkover result this morning should mean Justis has locked in a top 3 seeding for the Olympics draw. That's the only benefit I can see from it.

shame on zerafa for picking on mundine's corpse like this.

and to think people were praising him on here for integrity and class.

he should be scolded on here for this but somehow he gets a free pass.

mundine has a huge chance of being seriously injured if this fight goes ahead.
