    Or possibly behind closed doors?

Every sporting event is getting cancelled, I can't see these events going ahead as normal

Mate if you see what is going on in Italy, which UK is only 4 weeks behind, there is no way any boxing match will go ahead with an audience. Either behind closed doors or cancelled is my guess.

I would be shocked if these went ahead. I was planning to go to the Dubois fight, but I’ve held off from buying my tickets.

    Fingers crossed I’m wrong though

The PM and medical experts did a press conference earlier saying the opposite. Whether that will change or not is another thing but going on what has literally just been said, this thread was done at the click bait title

Jokes aside about terrible Warren attendances it was pretty obvious from today's press conference that a lot of sporting events are going to be impacted, even if there is no requirement now to start cancelling. It was very clear that it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better, and that will inevitably mean cancellations and restrictions. The football season will inevitably end with matches behind closed doors, but that will largely be on the basis that you can't really delay a season for any significant time period. I imagine it'll simply be a case with boxing that every fight will largely go the way you would imagine them to go if one of the boxers was injured.

Anything scheduled to take place domestically in the next ten to fourteen weeks will almost certainly not happen on the date suggested.

It does sound like strange advice mind you from the government for two reasons.

Every other government is doing the opposite, it's been shown with China and South Korea that the spread slows down if there is less interaction between people, especially if people isolate for the required duration.

Secondly the government is telling people who may have any mild symptoms to self-isolate.

It sounds more like there trying to minimize the impact on the economy to be honest.

They want the economy to crash. So they can bring in a completely new economic system which is cashless.

They can hit so many birds with one stone with this coronavirus.

Mad that people think this is happening organically.

Conspiracy theorists are weird on the basis that they always seem very all or nothing.

As in, you presumably think nearly everything is a lie. JFK? Shot by the CIA. Diana bumped off by the royals. 9/11 an inside job. Whole world run by a secret order. It's obviously mental but I'm always quite interested in why people believe in such obvious rubbish. I'm sure I remember you freaking out about contactless payment or something utterly banal.

Can you please apologise for claiming Joshua/Ruiz 2 done 650k buys?

Well, no, given I used the same source for that which states Fury Wilder II did over 800k.

Evidence doesn’t seem your strongest point in fairness. I imagine if I told you that I got those figures from David Icke you’d buy them without a seconds thought.

Boxing can’t be BCD because the ticket sales pay the fighters.

Evidence isn't my strongest point he says, as he claims Joshua/Ruiz done 650k while Hearn admits it done under 500k LOL!

Just apologise in your own time.

The likes of the Grand National will never be called off as it creates far too much money for them. I can see some football and boxing being called off though.

They could run the National behind closed doors to be fair. People will still bet on it.
