    Instead of fighting Brian London, what if Patterson had fought a prime Bill Brennan? How does this work itself out?

    Brennan got stopped twice by Dempsey, Firpo and Miske while losing a shut out to Harry Greb. Patterson is several levels above Brennan. I'd pick a mid rounds stoppage after dominating him.

    Brennan was very limited, durable enough with a solid dig, no more. Probably edges London, maybe.

    I judge Brennan a below average contender against the long line of contenders.

    No real chance against Patterson. It would be one of the biggest upsets ever.

    Patterson wasn't 20's level, let alone 10's level. People glossing over Brennan haven't even seen the Bandsman Dik Rice career Blu Ray set to appreciate what that win means, for crying out loud.
