    It's an utterly pointless fight, the intrigue has gone, as has the mystique of wilder's vaunted power and realistically, he stands a slim punchers chance. Having said that, I'd certainly watch it again, but I'd be downloading it the following morning, no way would I be shelling out for ppv when there's other guys I'd sooner see each fight.

    Wilder has a contract and will take his shot, for his career. Anyone watches or not.
    But as a boxing fan, I wish that would happen. Fury schooled Deontay in both fights. I don't see the point in the third.

    nobody wants to see it.

    1/50 people for example is pretty much nobody.

    They always had a poor record for selling fights

    And now with corona virus there are three reasons why nobody will bother.

    Definitely realistic. We can only hope. The Saudi's could clear this up with some stupid site fee but otherwise, the show would be guaranteed to lose money. We'll have to wait until the contracts are drafted.

    Fury could beat him thrice more, dominantly, and folks would still give Wilder a puncher's chance in a sixth match. (primarily casuals, but- they dictate the market)

    Just because I believe a third fight would be a dead rubber, that doesn't mean I'm not interested in watching Wilder getting whooped again.

    Will his inflated ego finally burst from a second beat down, or will he just provide us with another encyclopedia of laughable excuses in order to keep it together? And just imagine Fury in the build up, launching a tirade of verbal ass whoopings with the very ammo that Deas, Wilder and his rabid fans have so graciously provided.

    I want to see the undisputed fight as much as the next guy, but there's still a lot of entertainment value in seeing Wilder getting a second dose of comeuppance. :beer-toast1:

    I would watch Wilder fight anyone....The man can lose round after round and still KO your aze into next week.....I know Fury survived

    Where are you lot getting all these statistics about people not wanting to watch the fight?!?

    If Fury ain't fighting Joshua then I wouldn't mind seeing the trilogy and I can't be the only one

    Saw the first fight at a full movie theater and it was awesome.

    PPV'ed the 2nd fight with friends and it was a blast, a huge surprise.

    Will not buy a 3rd fight - would watch on free or ESPN+ but not paying for a 3rd.

    Well... two things really. The first is somewhat common sense. You have two guys who have fought a bunch of rounds and its become obvious that one is significantly better than the other. There is no reason to think the third tight wouldnt look much like the second. That will naturally dull hype, excitement and anticipation for a third fight, for most people.

    Almost every single person Ive seen interviewed about the fight, every single sports show Ive seen talk about it, show practically zero interest for the third. That cant be an anomaly and surely represents a large portion of general fand as well.


    I am sure a third fight would do ok... but there would no doubt be a big drop in numbers from the second, and considering that fight lost the networks money, they would have to severely adjust the fighters purses accordingly.
