Johnson was reckless, he just jumped straight into the danger zone, Calzhe moved in and out, using feints and mainly stayed at long range using jabs and straight lefts, he used counter jabs too, Johnson didn`t have a counter jab, Joe used great head movement too Johnson was wild and wide open, no comparison.

They're both high-volume, southpaw swarmers, to me that's a valid comparison.

Joe is very fundamentally sound, Marv wasn't, but Joe wasn't remotely close to Spinks' level, and neither was Marv. You throw Calzhage in with Mike and what you see is Joe winning the early rounds based on activity and just getting into the swing of it, but then taking a huge right hand and going sleep.

Joe barely won a decision against a near 50 yr old Hopkins. Not very impressive IMO.

The scorecards were horse****. Calzaghe battered him. And I think 'near 50 year old' is maybe a slight exaggeration. The only light-heavyweight title B-Hop didn't win AFTER losing to Calzaghe was the WBO, let's not rewrite history.

calzaghe and his dad werent screaming and throwing a tantrum after round 11 because joe was battering him. It was clear frustration.

If you call that a masterful lesson, I hope to god boxing drops out from that school.

Without a doubt, that was the single ugliest fight I've ever seen between P4P fighters, and I'm glad the spoiling faker didn't get rewarded for it.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Max got this one right. Calzaghe is just too good for Spinks. Joe close UD.
