Louis at 230 is a beach ball and Foreman is perfect at 230. Louis in shape weighed 197-207 pounds. Guys just stop inventing fantasies

Foreman used weights and Ali used to imitate the wide arm swinging and said after 4-5 rounds those weight arms get heavy - and Ali was proven to be right - Vince Lombardi said " fatigue will makes cowards of us all" - Ali waited and those Big arms came down

3 years and 11 odd months later, so lets change "a couple" to basically 4. his name was actually "Lynn Ball".

For a bit of perspective Lyle was 2 months off turning 39 years old. Rocky retired at at 31. Lyle had been showing signs of decreased durability and why would he not be?

It's not perfectly reasonable to use this "evidence" by a long shot, and it's part of your usual intent that gets you hated on in here.

Blind Freddy knows Clay was in his 11th pro fight and was just 20. Rocky was smack bang at his best against Walcott.

They aren't comparable. a better angle would maybe argue the Walcott KD was a flash type KD and Rocky was up in no time and straight back at it. It could also be mentioned Walcott was a master at these powerful beautifully timed counters and dropped (or starched) other ATG's as well.

This matchup is as extreme as one can get to a stylistic nightmare. It's almost impossible to put up any realistic argument for Rocky at all. His chances would be much better against the likes of Dempsey, Louis, Frazier, Ali, Holmes and Holyfield.

Something you need to know about Choklab is that in an argument, he will ignore everything you say in favor of the line he can best use to further his agenda

I believe Liston, Foreman, and Tyson (in particular) are the worst stylistic match ups for The Rock.

As for the thread, I stopped paying attention when someone bought up Lyle's loss to Ball when he was nearly 40 years old and had nothing left in order to make a case for Marciano.

even if somebody is going to use flash knockdowns in the first round of durable fighters as evidence that they can be knocked spark out in The first round? I could use a lot of other examples if you find this particular one distasteful. Wasn’t Joe Louis at his best when Braddock put him down in the first round? It no more proves Louis can be knocked out in that round just because of this either. All I said was I will accept it when it is decided that it is as likely to happen as it is for any other great fighter getting knocked out in one round who it didn’t happen to in real life.

A better angle would be for people to accept that predicting any great fighter known for durability being knocked out in one round (who is known to have never been knocked out in real life) is rather outlandish and just move on.

First round kayoes are always shocking results. Hard to predict...and hard to defend as a likely result in a contest between two prime fighters when a guy has never been knocked out before.

Foreman in his first carreer NEVER TOUCHED A WEIGHT. He said it and this is pretty evident, i have a lot of experience in this world of the gym-grappling- kick boxing and boxing and i know when a guy is naturally big or built in a gym george was a natural guy, he did not have the type of body built in a gym, you can see the differences between 70s Foreman and Holyfield for example.Foreman said "the first time that i did even push ups was for the lyle fight and my chest looked very good".
Foreman trained like old school in his first run, the ax, the heavybag and walking with a calf on his back, but he was not an inflated man for using weights, he trained more like a farmer. Insinuating that he was heavier than Louis because he used weights is just ridiculous and laughable

I will answer any direct question you care to point at me on this subject, but I realise since you have already announced that you are not paying attention after someone mentioned lynns balls it probably won’t register with you.

So he was 35 when he fought Big George then?
So by your calculations he was already over the hill when he very nearly beat Foreman!!!
    Good point.

Braddock knocking down Louis has **** all to do with this debate.
    When did
Braddock hit anywhere near the level of Foreman.

    More totally irrelevant bollocks
