Fantasy Fight: James Toney vs Andre Ward who would have won prime for prime?

One thing about James Toney ...for all of his trash talk ...he was a clean fighter...he was always fought a clean fight ...I could see Ward using dirty tactics to gain an advantage

 

I go with toney but it is a good fight

 

Ward. Toney just a lazy "****in punk".

 

At his best (The Barkley and Littles fights), Toney wins a close decision .Too slick and fast.

 

Tough choice going for Ward on points.Maybe they could have a trilogy 2-1 to ward

 

I like lights out at any weight

 

Haha no way please.. Kovalev beating toney?lmao he could not beat Canelo. Toney would play with him, kovalev would not have even the puncher chance because toney had iron chin, in fact i believe that toney could knock him out

 

Pickem fight to me. Both were well schooled fighters. I could see Ward using movement to out point James and I can also see James catching Ward with a counter right hand. One thing about Ward is he was smart enough to do what it took to win and not worry about pleasing anyone else. He would stand still agai st Toney or sit on any punches.

 

A younger toney was so fast and explosive and had sharp punches. Good combination puncher and able to duke it out on the inside or counter you at mid range. Ward would get outclassed and embarrassed honestly.

Older Toney was more lethargic and fought in spurts. Ward's determination and solid fundamentals could give him a close decision win.

 

I’ll pick Ward by a decision

 

Close fight, i can see Ward just edging it.. Possibly.
