After much wrangling over money, It's Foreman of 1990 that's put in to face Tyson in Tokyo. Foreman would battle a good fight against Holyfield in 9 1, but is his best shot here, against a Tyson in turmoil??
Foreman stops a overly confident, sloppy Tyson in 11. Big George has to soak up some massive shots from Tyson, that has his face swollen up, but George break s his spirit to capture the title in Tokyo.
Foreman of any yr against any Tyson of ANY yr by 2 rd knockout at the most. And what is more, Tyson knew it too. This content is protected
I actually reckon the earlier rounds are won by Tyson. George would be patient, he'd know that his man would get tired eventually and his ko power go down. So, just my opp, but takes a little longer. But no Kd from Tyson has he did Buster. GF chin holds up against the best shots here.
ahhh This is old Foreman going up against Tokyo Tyson? Edit: **** I just reread the thread. My apologies Fergy!
Tyson was off his head partying playing about with the ladies of Tokyo.Forman sparks him out!.But if Tyson was fighting big George he would train properly or not fight him at all.No way would mike take on foreman unprepared. Even he wasn't that crazy
I think Foreman would win. I never thought it would be an upset. Tyson's style against Foreman works in Foreman's favor if Foreman is not hurt early. He was just a big guy and stronger than Mike. Not as quick, but stronger.
Tyson. Foreman was too slow. His follow up attacks would be blocked. Competitive yes but not active enough to sustain an attack strong enough to take Tyson out.
Straight right hands. Tyson tended to eat them. By Tokyo, Mike was gone, totally lost. George would have rolled straight over him. Any time after the 7th.
Big George Foreman, past his prime decides to take this chance of a lifetime, to further build onto his church, and flies to Tokyo to take on defending World Heavyweight Champion Iron Mike Tyson. George keeps Tyson at bay with a hard left jab which causes swelling around both eyes of Mike. Foreman does take some body shots that cause him to wince and cover up. In round 8, Tyson attempts to fire a very decapitating right hand and misses, running into a well timed Foreman right hand that sends him sprawling to the canvas. Tyson does not even hear the ten count tolled over him by referee Octavio Meyran, of Mexico. Instead he barely hears the ringside voice of Smoking Joe Frazier that says, You See That's What George Did To Me, Now He Is Doing It To You. The referee raises the hand of Big George Foreman and declares him the new champion as the referee once did on Jan 22 1973, in Kingston, Jamaica.
