He was willing enough and could punch a bit but a real plodder. His back story suggests that he didn't really belong in Boxing anyhow.

Just not true. Name these World Champions who were worse than Dominic Negus.

Joe Harris, Dario Galindez and Isaac Cruz. And that is just WBB, they are a load more organisations that will have weaker champs still.

What’s Williams,Skelton & A Force got to do with it? As Negus was a cruiserweight.....

With all due respect to Negus he is 2-2 in Southern Area Cruiser British title fights.

Thats a long way off winning a genuine world title strap.

So he's a king in many eras.

Genuine is very much abstract in that statement.

Titles mean little to all but the fighters and their fancy. If Joshua or Fury decided to drop their titles for a (for instance) WBB crown, that would mean more than the other alphabet crap.

WBB ? Is that a white collar / pro-am organisation ? I've never heard of it. Is it recognised by the BBBof C ?

You call yourself a fan and you have not heard of the World Boxing Board?! Tsk, tsk, tsk!

Seriously though it was a joke organisation, but Scott Dixon won its welterweight title some 20 odd years back, so I am guessing it got the ok by the BBB of C.
