If Groves was able to floor him, imagine what Canelo would have done. Froch was OUT for a second when he fell down.

I'd favor Canelo. In a good scrap!

Id say Groves right hand in Froch 1 is a bigger shot power wise than what Canelo has in a single shot. He’s far far bigger and had pop.

That said, Canelo takes this on a wide UD

No way Canelo bangs as hard as prime Groves did.

Froch could box very well off the backfoot behind the jab which is Canelos kryptonite style, he also has a big length advantage, Canelo would be plodding forward eating jabs and right hands. Froch by UD or late TKO.

I really don't like Froch but he was a big super middleweight with good skills with an iron chin.
Just because Canelo defeated an old, ill prepared light heavyweight doesn't necessarily mean he will beat a lifetime prime super middleweight.
    I'll take Froch on points.

It's crazy 3 yrs ago I'd have laughed at someone bringing up this match up. Now I actually have to put some thought in

I feel like canelos illusive head movement and fast hands would give froch a lot of trouble. I'm just not sure I think he could beat froch

    Canelo wide points.

Froch never had the ring IQ and his physical advantages would be negated immeditely due to Canelo's massive skill gap.

I’d genuinely take Groves over Canelo...

Trout/Lara/Cotto could arguably have gotten the decision Vs Canelo, Groves is just as skilled as those and punches harder

Trout got floored several times, including making a chicken dance. Why do people think he won? Rewatch the fight!

It has been a while since I've seen it, but I thought Trout went down once, not "several times."

Clenelo has only floored or stopped one world class fighter above Clenelo Weight (155) and said fighter was a still concussed shot drunk whose chin and power had diminished markedly. The Cobra would drag the Ginger Toad into deep waters and drown him in the championship rounds.
