Styles! Its styles! Nobody says Tua is winning, but I would hide behind a sofa if Louis brawled with Tua. And checking my mind, the median weight of all fighters Louis fought and the opponents they fought (this is the environment to come up on top!) were close to 190lb. But I have to check this, could be 18X. How would you expect a true 225lb HW to perform in an environment where other boxers proved their skill against a median 190lb fighters getting on top? Think about this.
The difference is that i am open to the idea of Louis winning yes. But you are blind biased trolls who are impossible to debate with .and never will admit that tua COULD knock out Joe Louis
Again this was 245lb plodding Tua. First time, Tua won this fight and (or) had to other rounds to go. Rahman of course had raw strength and power too.
Hassim rahman was a monster a power lifter if you did not know and he did hit very very hard shot for shot. Overall Louis was much better puncher because skill, accuracy and speed but shot for shot with full force it is very plausible that rahman did hit harder yes.
Sure, he could do that. Anything can happen in boxing. I thought that we are talking about most possible scenario, not what is possible. Tua is certainly good enough to knock out Ali too, would you also be mad when people would laugh at this idea?
Max faced off against plenty of shws. Max was a bit of a waste of talent after he won the crown. Only took his craft seriously for a short while. But it’s ridiculous to question his power or chin. His boxing ability is probably no worse then Tuas who lacked the ability to close off a ring and was a rather easy target.
it is a much much less probable scenario. Ali was much more elusive than Louis with a much better chin plus he recovered better himself
Baer: 77% KO-ratio out of all wins. And that includes how much avarage weight advantage? Comparing him box-wise with a 5'10" slugging swarmer is not useful imho. For his raech and beeing relatively tall at the time, he was horrible.
Being a monster power lifter doesn't mean that you can nhit hard enough to break an egg! If Rahman hit as hard as Louis, he would have a lot more spectacular knockouts on his resume.
Rahman hit harder, but Louis was sharper. How to compare? The question is: Why are you playing dumb all the time? Is punching with Tua a good gameplan or not!? How is Louis going to fight here? Can he go Tillis-mode? How good are his legs+jab, if the stocky samoan doesn´t respect his sharp punches that much?
But it's possible, isn't it? Tua hit extremely hard, he could knock out any fighter in theory. I agree that Ali was more durable, he was also more elusive. He had problems with left hooks though and he had far less power than Louis. Frazier ate his punches, Tua supposedly was far more durable than Frazier. Why do you not enjoy this scenario? I'll tell you why - because Ali was much better boxer and fighter than Tua and proved that against far better opponents than Tua. That's why you pick him over Tua. You can say the same thing about Louis, but for some reason he doesn't get the same respect Ali does.
