    Did you seriously just cite Duran's loss to Camacho as a pretext to slag on him??? Holy ****, this on par with - nay, worse than -guys who mention Ali-Homes with the same motive.
    Duran was fifty years old dude. Not forty-six,
    not pushing fifty;
    but fifty.
    Fifty whole years old. And Camacho was damn sure no bum.
    I've seen a lot of disingenuous points raised before but this takes the cake.

    Excuses and esxuse!He wa sold unprepared... just like for Tyson!
    Foreman at age 43 became champion and Ali fought even with parkinson at that age!
    Mayweather also and never lost even against bigger and stronger guys!
    Literally beat only one good opponent in a green SRL and thats only because he decided to brawl with Duran, and Duran still almost lost

    He got absouletly humiliated by Thomas Hearns who was chinny and gets praised for beating a novice, C level fighter in Davey Moore and a guy whos lost like 10 times in Iran Barkley.
    Yet people actually call this bum an "ATG", he fought cab drivers as a lightweight and the first decent guy he fought he lost too in esteban and lets face it esteban isnt really anything special!
    Also, why is considered a top 10 P4P all-time great? It doesn't make sense.

    He has losses to the greatest fighters he's ever fought. They include Leonard, Hagler, Hearns and Benitez. Yet, somehow, he's rated highly above all of them, by most people.

    I can understand that he's got a few good wins at lightweight over the likes of Buchanan, De Jesus and Kobayashi, but the rest are either paper champions or average journeymen.
    Now, this blasphemous animal-torturing sicko may have caught SRL at a bad night, but SRL avenged the fight twice, even making him rage quit during their second fight due to the extreme difference in skill level. Duran beat a lot of opponents, but not really special ones, and was really just another latino boxer getting exposed when he met a good black boxer... I really don't see why Duran is so popular. Imagine if Broner threw a cat into a wall or hit a horse.

    It's almost as unbiased and knowledgeable as Serb's post.

    He was undeniably great, but there is a legion of worshippers here that will excuse any loss or poor outing he had as being either someone else's fault or the sun shining in the wrong direction or whatever without for a moment applying the same level of forgiveness to any other fighter. He's apparently a special case somehow. It makes me dislike both him and his fans.
