While Louis towers over Tua in legacy this might be a dangerous match. David Tua was a hard puncher who fought from a crouching position and had an iron chin with a deadly left hook. Louis was troubled by such fighters. I think Joe wins but it would be a hard nights work
I can't believe there are people so bereft of any knowledge of the sport yet who busy themselves commenting on it. And still there are those who compare Galento to Tua.
I know that you're referring to me on this post but my reasoning is as follows: Both were short (for a heavy) Both were bald Both were stout Both were similar in weight Both fought out of a crouch Both had incredible punching power Both had great chins Both had crushing left hooks I can easily see Galento do to Ruiz and Moorer what Tua did.
Didn´t get much done in the ring? OK again, so WHO is: "Yet, I´m waiting who of the Louis gang (or any other boxer to compare) would go 38-3, never hurt, 86% Ko-ratio in the 90s. Thats Tuas H2H stats. "Hyped reputation" is bull**** parrotting of horrible posters like wonderland janitor and others. Please use your own mind. What counts is Tuas H2H-evaluation at his best time frame. Its not his fault he had to face the Ibeabuchi tank and Lennox Lewis (his fault was coming at 245lb though). And yet, I´m waiting for someone replicating the 38-2-1 (or 38-3), 86% KO-ratio. Thats his H2H-stats. On a rational basis.
Finished his career at 72 percent KO rate. Stop hyping him up. I would imagine if trained in the same period Baer, Primo, Schmeling could possibly replicate the feat. Which in all seriousness besides the KO rate is nothing to brag about
