Nobody deserved to win. Alvarez was out of gas from round 5+ and Golovkin was stiffed out like a tree facing the first international crowd of his career. Alvarez looked off and generally appalling and Glovkin's Twitter certified(thanks to bums) Titansteel X guaranteed KO power was nowhere to be found.
Well what you just said is exactly why I had Canelo dominating the second fight after I watched it a a judge instead of just watching it as a boxing fan, for me I try to take bias out and score rounds in 3 phases who won each minute by how wide and at the end of all three look at who overall did the better work. I've personally gotten into plenty if debates where I've posted a round time stanoed every punch for Canelo and GggBoths guys subtle movements defense and what not and guys would swear punches that landed clear as day for Canelo missed and punches that missed clear as day for GGG as scoring shots.. it is what it is as a fan it's always fun to trash talk and what not but i try to be as impartial as i can be for as much flack as I give GGG for his overall cr@ppy career I do feel like the first fight was a draw and considering that Canelo is the greatest fighter of this current generation i don't think that's a black mark at all.. all the crying and not facing anybody else good unless he is facing Canelo is what I have an issue with.
To each his own regarding the first fight honestly its only 2 real swing rounds to me 3 and 4 everytime I watch they fight I flip flop who I give it to which is why I said 3 out of 4 for Canelo. I've maybe seen it 5 times sometimes I give Canelo 3 straight sometimes I give GGG the 3rd and Canelo the 4th but each time I've always ended up with the same result whether it was live or just scoring at home. Being completely honest watching the fight I felt Canelo had more room to dominate than GGG which even though he switched up showed in rematch, the only thing GGG did better in fight I was have a better tank Canelo gassed bad in the middle rounds but everytime he throw he landed hard but GGG was consistent with his pressure, I felt Canelo found a late second wind maybe realizing he was down and rallied for a draw at the end in recent years if you noticed while Canelo has issues during the middle of fights he typically tends to finish strong in the championship rounds 10-12
The idea that Canelo is aging out GGG is ridiculed when Canelo is taking on top fighters and Chamos and GGG is taking on no hopers, you dude need to get a grip and live in reality
GGG is old and shot he wants to cash out, but your boy should still wait , he was on juice and still couldn’t beat 36yo GGG, who knows if 38yo is old enough.
Ggg has never defeated a current Champ in his career meanwhile Canelo has beaten 4 straight including GGG, spending a career fighting the Wade's and Szermetas and Lemieux's of the world that cash out argument is garbage when he's resume is barely better than a sh1tty fighters like Charlo and Saunders.
