Fury on occasion has struggled with guys smaller than himself. Don't write him off too easily.

Usyk is the closest to that description for me, I made him fav against Fury before this Kronk Version turned up, now im pretty sure he push's back Usyk's challenge, the inside game is maybe lacking with Usyk also for what you mention. I think Furys iq would have him thwart an inside fighter with grabbing and leaning. For me it has to be a true one shot ko specialist, and high iq themselves with size, the only fellas I see capable of beating Fury is Lewis and Wlad, Vitali is in with a shout, i'd have that as 50/50. But its only been one excellent showing against Wilder, Wlad didn't turn up and had slipped and Wilder wasn't all that, but the manner he went about it was how he should've, demolish him, so it was excellent

Hes also struggled with men he could've beaten easier, hes a classic case of that, but at his best it really looks a big ask of Usyk

“Believe it or not, this is going to sound strange, Cunningham was the hardest fight I ever did have in my whole career, amateur or professional.

“The reason being he was very slippery, I couldn’t pin him down. He was light on his feet, weighing 208lbs, he was a cruiserweight champion and he stepped up into heavyweights.

“He was a slick, talented boxer and I tried to walk him down, use my size and power, but he was just outboxing me.

“What I’m good at – boxing, moving, slipping and sliding – I couldn’t do against Steve Cunningham because he was quicker than me.

“It was like he was a better boxer all round than me, and he’d knocked me over even though he was a light puncher.''

By asking how many southpaw champions there have been? I think you read a bit too much into that
Exactly, you could count them on one hand. They were all five minute champions too
Southpaw Wallin couldn't close the show against Fury on his worst day and Fury took Abell out in four rounds. It's 'possible' that a southpaw could do Fury, but not very likely

A pressure fighter with counter punching who happens to have size, this was Otto Wallin with a plus of southpaw which gave him better positions when Fury switched it up . The only one like that is AJ but without southpaw abilities he has much harder punching and likes the body work to, I think Fury will have his hands full win or lose in that fight ,AJ can match his speed and cut the ring off . This is a far better fight then most want to admit it seems but I slightly favor AJ .

:nonono His inside game is better than you think it is. He showed glimpses of it against Hunter Briedis and Huck.Especially late in those fights. Due to Fury's immense size, it would be easily for him to get in close and go to town on his body. Granted, it's been a long time since he faced McDermott and he got revenge on him in the rematch, but Usyk brings many of the same attributes to the table, and let's be honest, Usyk is like 200x's better than McDermott. SUre Fury will attempt to grab and lean on Usyk, and Usyk has shown in the past he's excellent at extricating himself from tie ups.

Also, the version that fought Wilder won't show up against Usyk, because Usyk ill fight nothing like Wilder and isn't open like a mother****er for overhand rights. So Fury will probably bring a difference approach for that match anyway. Every fight is different, it's no guarantee that Usyk would beat him, only that the intangibles that he brings to the table are going to be far more problematic than anything most Heavies can possibly muster.

You have a very bitchy tone. Not sure if you're aware of that, but that's how you come across. Not just to me, but to others. And yes, since I'm a mod, I tend to pay attention to stuff like that.

Most Heavyweights aren't all southpaw kryptonite, I don't believe in fantastical but.. but.. but... narratives like that. Yes, most of them were 5 minute champions, but how many of them were genuinely elite talents to begin with? It's because they're just not that good to begin with, Usyk is that good to begin with.

Usyk is better than Wallin and has a far better gas tank.

Mike Tyson is the epitome of Fury's nightmare, like literally purpose-built to beat his ass. No one has ever really been like Tyson though. Theres only 3 fighters out there right now that I think could beat Fury -- even when Fury is tuned in and "on" abd they are: Oleksandr Usyk, Michael Hunter Jr., and AJ. Sure, plenty of fighters could beat Fury when he walks out and goose eggs it, just stinks the joint out, but I think those are the only three that could beat him when he is on. Im not saying I would favor any of them, I wouldn't, but I think they have the talent, skill, and attributes to do it. AJ is the closest any fighter would come to being a favorite against Fury IMO, I think it would truly be a 50-50 fight and could see any and all possible outcomes play out.

If Alpha Fury(Fury-Wilder II) shows up, I think its pretty safe to erase Usyk and Hunter's names from my list BTW. If Fury continues fighting like a man with his big boy pants on, the smaller and faster fighters are looking.to get their head caved in.

There wont be anything easy about it mate, the length of Fury and Usyk's high profile and whats thought of him would have Fury in at his best, he is in better shape now and if he stays focused its his fight imo..Ive heard Usyk too mention that Fury's the difficult one because of size and movement, that's how I see it. With Furys length and mobility/foot work it'll be hard to close the gap and when he does he has 6 9" and 270lb draped over him tying him up. Sorry mate, I don't think Hunter Breidis and Hunter are relevant here
You can guarantee he'll bring a different approach, hes turning out to be a very clever determined individual and his belief is deeper than anyone he faces, its a given, he has that natural mentality on everyone else, hes the least manufactured fighter out there, a proper proper fighting man
