The best cruiser around right now in Briedis or Gassiev who was a unified champ aren't standout names? Or Glowacki who beat a then dominant Huck. Huck is also a legend at cruiser too, Bellew is hardly a nobody and neither is Hunter who's a very solid top 10 cruiser or heavy. What a joke of a statement.
Standout in terms of the division, but not in terms of world boxing. Gassiev struggled with an old Lebedev, Breidis with the ghost of Mike Perez. The are solid guys, but not elite. I’m a fan of the CWs, and have enjoyed some good scraps over the last few years but I’m realistic about their level.
Usyk has beaten 2 people who would beat Haye... Ffs he beat someone who beat Haye! Gassiev hit Usyk clean and he didn't budge... You think Haye tops that? FOH
Eh I watched the Gassiev Lebedev fight and it wasn't as close as it was made out to be. Lebedev hung in there but he wasn't very competitive throughout.
Different deliveries mate, Haye was a long range bomber that could catch you unawares, sneaky. Gassiev will stand with you and if you haven't got legs he'll walk right through you. I think with Gassiev you could brace a bit, know its coming that little bit more, you wouldn't take many of them though and that's with a rock solid chin. Its the triangle theory mate, it don't work
Haye is leagues above anyone Usyk beat at CW, that is obvious to anyone who understands the sport at its most basic level. Guys like Breidis, Gassiev, Hunter etc would get badly KO’d.
Gassiev has never set a trap in his life. His brute force is formidable but styles make fights and Haye's skillset poses a very different set of problems for Usyk.
I don't know him but damn that was a good one! My take is either. I got Holy, but Usyk did a mighty fine job of house cleaning.

Or took flush shots from Bakole? He has a certified iron chin. Haye ain't KOing him. Haye's best CW wins are an old Mormeck(in which he was dropped) and a glass chinned Enzo. Don't act like he's some ATG. Gassiev beating a prime Dorticos and an old Lebedevis more impressive. Your aspirations for Haye really aren't representative of his career.
And exactly who has Haye beaten that's near Usyk's level? Usyk's cruiserweight competition was far superior to Haye's, so far superior that It's a waste of time to even state it. That being said, while I'd strongly favour Usyk to beat Haye, he might be the only recent cruiser to have Usyk taste the canvas for the first time.
