Can we straight up say Usyk is the 2nd greatest Cruiserweight?

    Also, Gassiev knocks Haye out.

Morneck would probably flatten overhyped fighters like Breidis and Gassiev tbh.

Please explain how Usyk beats Haye. Its a horrible style match up for him. Watch the Bellew fight, and observe how easy it is to hit Usyk clean with a right hand. If that was Haye detonating bombs on that chin he would have Usyk out in 4 rounds.

I like Haye (now not so much back then) and I've always rated his power and speed highly. However, he gets a free pass for a lot of the struggles he had and vulnerability he displayed at CW

Stopped by a 40 y/o Carl Thompson albeit he blew his wad after trying to get Thompson out of there

Dropped heavily and came within a whisker of being on the wrong end of a KO loss against blown up SMW journeyman Mock who was 0-4-1 in his last 5 fights and had only stopped 7 of his 21 victims. Haye was in such bad shape after hauling himself off the canvas on wobbly legs he had to rugby tackle Mock to the canvas to buy more time for his head to clear.

Usyk would get absolutely crucified if he got dropped heavily, very badly hurt, and very nearly stopped by a blown up SMW journeyman who was 0-4-1 in their last 5 fights

He went life and death against Fragomeni who would've undoubtedly won had he possessed any semblance of power

Dropped and put on spaghetti legs by Mormeck who wasn't a particularly big puncher at all

Lasse Johansen gave him a tough fight too

Two of his best wins at that weight came against opponents who were packing serious glass in their mandibles (Enzo and Gurov). Both those guys could undoubtedly punch but Guvov had been stopped x 4 going into that fight, 3 times of which early (1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds), and Enzo had been KO'd in 3 by a domestic level and would go on to lose 2 of his next 3 fights via stoppage too, and then the following year after that last KO loss he was brutally sparked out cold by Frenkel which was one of the most violent and ugly KO's thine eyes have ever witnessed. Granted Frenkel was a serious puncher, mind.

He was also stopped by a tiler in the ABAs and by Solis in the world championships

These are Haye's best wins at CW

    Mormeck
    Fragomeni
    Enzo
    Gurov

Very dangerous customer for sure with dynamite in his fists but he displayed a lot of vulnerability at that weight and not only would I confidently pick Usyk to beat him I'd pick him via stoppage too.

Exactly right! I couldn't say it any better than this. Haye was a dangerous guy at 200 but no where near the fighter that Uysk is.

Jirov was good but he is not in the same league as Holyfield or Uysk. He was an excellent pressure fighter and in the top ten for the division in my opinion.

Yeah, in addition to not having the sturdiest set of whiskers he didn't have the best engine either. Usyk would grind him down and stop him anytime between the 7th and 10th round IMO.

Usyk clearly has a better resume at CW than Hollyfield and Haye and is best CW all time.

Whether Usyk can transition his success at CW to HW like Hollyfield did, is yet to be seen.

Is he top 10, though? If you look over his résumé, it isn't very impressive. My top is:

    1. Oleksandr Usyk
    2. Evander Holyfield
    3. Juan Carlos Gomez
    4. Tomasz Adamek
    5. Marco Huck
    6. Steve Cunningham
    7. Mairis Briedis
    8. Denis Lebedev
    9. Murat Gassiev
    10. O'Neil Bell

Here's the reasoning. I don't think Jirov has the résumé to match these guys. He's very entertaining but his claim to fame is being James Toney's grasp on greatness. His H2H abilities are extraordinary though.
