Some of these people that claim to have spent a lot of time in the gym I’m beginning to question. Never seen smaller men spar with much bigger before? Never watched film of smaller men beating bigger men? You people act like it’s seeing a unicorn. Lol it’s funny because the size queens get so aggravated and just say he’s bigger. Well if that’s the case then a lot of fighters should never have been the champ. Marciano, Tyson and Frazier for instance should have never sniffed a belt in the Hw division. You people put far to much credence into the Height Weight argument as if it’s an end all be all int eh HW division.
Wilder certainly managed to find Furys chin and as gangly as he is Deontay is not even a good boxer. Him landing a punch on Fury when Fury had his hands down really did not depend on him having such long arms. World class fighters land punches. ATG fighters are going to land against anybody they aim at that’s why they are great “for all time”. Cunningham decked Fury and so did the unremarkable Neven Pajkic deck Fury. It’s not like Fury has not been decked by guys with less knockout credentials is it? Take away the drugs, the modern training...and you are left with a guy who wouldn’t make it as a boxer in the 1950s. Fury would be a tall guy with a protruding Adam’s apple. Long neck. Thin arms.
Have you bothered to look at similar height/reach/weight disadvantages? I'm guessing no because they won't favour the small guy.
