So would I. I'd give them back what they gave with interest and some. If my opponent sliced me up with a butt I'd ram the top of my dome in their face like a psychotic billy goat. But if you're the away fighter or the ref is batting for your opponent's team then you risk getting points deducted or DQ'd even though you're only retaliating to being fouled the crap out of.

    Round 8: Salido 10-9, close.

Another ugly ass round. That favoured Salido's dirty aggression. Which it did.

Not according to Cole he wasn't. If that's the treatment the A side receives from the ref then I'll gladly volunteer to be the B side everytime. Loma's A side pull also extended to one of the judges scoring his very next fight a draw even though he whooped his opponent's ass.

 No. Salido was a very worthy opponent, let alone for a 1-0 pro. An 11lb heavy Salido at that.

I still had Loma winning despite the overabundance of low blows

Everyone always says 1-0 he fought in the words boxing whatever and that's counted as pro

    Round 9: Salido 10-9, close

Out-hustling Loma here. Dirty work taking it again, especially inside. Another particularly boring round with not much work from Loma. Salido's body shots and hooks were more effective than Loma's jab here.

    Round 10: Lomachenko 10-9, swing.

Loma gets a warning for pushing? The ****? Any way, for the most part Loma's volume, angles and movement gave Salido a headache at first but nothing really landed. Salido landed the cleanest shots but not enough to drag back being flummoxed for 2½ minutes.

He was 1-0 as a pro. The WSB is semi-pro and he was facing amateurs. But that's a different discussion for a different day. Even if you want to count those as pro bouts Saldildo is still a very worthy opponent for any six fight pro novice. Hell , he was a worthy enough opponent for a 30-0 Mikey Garcia the previous year and one fight removed from facing Loma and Saldildo weighed about the same as Garcia not 11 pounds heavier. And Loma had never been past 5 rounds before, whereas Garcia had been 8 or longer x 6 and even as late as round 11.

    Round 11: Salido 10-9, swing.

What a shitty groping mess. Salido actually worked in the clinch ergo winning the round, but it was so ugly and slow paced I don't think either deserve it.

    You're just being argumentative

According to the official record books they're not considered pro bouts. Amateurs virtually fight under pro rules these days. No headgear and 10 point must system. But like I said that's a different discussion for another day and one I have no interest in getting to

    Round 12: Lomachenko 10-9, clear.

Why couldn't all 12 have been like this? This was sick. Loma's speed and volume really took it to Siri and made him look daft. I gained a newfound respect for Loma when he headbutted him too.
