    Round 1: Even 10-10, swing.

Feeler. Lopez boxing well, moving either direction and weighing up Siri. Siri moving in and out-working Lopez, however not landing too effectively yet. I don't particularly like even rounds, but this was a feeler out round and depends on what you like.

    Round 2: Lopez 10-9, swing

And... we're off! Both coming out brawling now, feeler-out time over. Salido out-manning his man, but Lopez tagged Siri with some hard ass shots and covered up well. Salido already using his "veteran tactics".

Why is Lopez pretending to be Rigondeaux with his southpaw, Michigan guard? God I hope he gets knocked out.

    Round 3: Lopez 10-9, clear.

Lopez boxing at range well, Salido coming in and working the body but having his efforts deterred by elbows and know-how. Lopez working his lead hand like a whip on the incoming target, snapping Salido's head back. After, Salido started to get to him and Lopez mixed in his cross and poured water on his momentum. Salido crowding now, though, keeping Lopez locked on the ropes. He just couldn't land.

    Round 4: Salido 10-9, close.

Lopez Boxing cutely at the start but being crowded badly from around the 2 minute mark. Siri getting past that wannabe slickster's guard and working the body, and lower, better than Lopez was working his right.

    Round 5: Lopez 10-8, clear.

Lopez boxing still, but completely failing to keep Siri off him. They exchanged wide hooks in a fierce manner with Salido consistently getting the better of the action. His right hook was coming in at an angle which Lopez couldn't cope with. That said, as Siri attacked and closed in for another assault he jumped in with another hook and was walked onto a straight left which sent him to the mat for a count of 8. He wasn't hurt, but he was down.

Halfway through, and I have it 49-46 for Lopez. Awesome fight so far, but not what I prefer in a fight (I'm more partial to a phonebooth brawl with short shots in abundance with ebs and flows in momentum) but this is ight too. :D

    Round 6: Salido 10-9, clear.

Lopez tried boxing, but Salido wasn't having it. He boar in and timed some nasty hooks, upstairs and down whilst Lopez threw some straight lefts with vicious intentions. However, Salido's pressure and volume clearly caught up with Lopez who backed up and was beat up on when he stayed on the ropes. The memorial shot being a huge overhand right from Siri.

Who ever gave in that unofficial scorecard in was a complete ****ing spastic.

    Round 7: Salido 10-9, clear.

Lopez still trying to box, but Siri ploughs forth, one snappy hook at a time. His defence is clearly decent, as Lopez couldn't lay a glove on him, and his shifts let him land his hooks whilst maintaining his Bob and Weave. Excellent stuff.

    Round 8: Salido 10-9, close.

Lopez on offence now, stalking Siri and keeping him in the corner. Until he was countered, at least. He was landing clean with his body shots and jab, but then Salido went back into his crouch/bob/weave/hook mode and landed hard, flush and often for the final minute whilst Lopez traded back. Close round, but Salido's hooks were having a noticeable effect on Lopez. Hence why I thought he won.

    Round 9: Even 10-10, swing.

Ahhhhh infighting. Just what I wanted...

I know. I know. Even round, again. But this was war, one of the best rounds I've seen in a while. Amazing **** here. A battle on the inside clearly favoured Salido, who was evidently more accustomed to the wear and tare of an infight. Lopez threw the some excellent short shots which landed with frightening accuracy, however Salido took them in his stride and came back with more, just not as good. Both are exceptionally dirty, holding and hitting, low-blows, elbows ect. but Lopez seems to realize he could control Salido's head if he chaffed his hooks and turned them into collar ties, then set up his uppercuts. Awesome to watch, awful to referee. Salido didn't seem to mind, he just responded with more punches.
