76 Ali was not better than any version of Lewis and lewis was a power puncher Ali was not ,also norton did not avoid too much from Foreman so this argument...
Foreman was more aggressive than pre-Steward Lewis, he only caught Ruddock with a hard counter right when Razor fell out of position with a jab to the body, Norton had better fundamentals than Bruno and Ruddock he proved that v Ali in his first two fights v Ali.
The norton fights against Ali proves **** against any other fighter who was not called Ali. Any version of Lewis was a tremendous puncher and Norton did horrible against punchers, period
Frank bruno had better chin than Norton, his problem was more when he was gassed, his stamina. He lasted 10 rounds with smith and spoon,7 with lewis and 5 with A young undefeated Tyson. Norton lasted 2 with Foreman, 1 with Shavers, seconds with Cooney.
Bonecrusher Smith. Non title fight ...Ken wins a UD. Witherspoon. Title fight Ken wins a SD. Tyson. Title fight. Ken knocked out in 2 at the most. This is for prime Mike Lewis. Title fight Pre-Steward Lewis knocks him out in 3 at the most. Steward-Lewis wins a SD. Mccall. Title fight Norton wins a SD, but takes some staggering shots. I can see Kenny being able to keep Oliver from finishing him, though. Tyson. Title fight. 90s Mike? Knocks out Ken in 9 at the most. I could imagine Kenny making more of a fight than against Iron Mike in his prime.
I see your point, but to me Lewis was far more cautious with Steward. Just watch the Holyfield and Tyson fights, he just didn't seem as hell bent as he did before Emanuel. Of course, Lewis imo became a much greater fighter overall with Steward. In my opinion. Lewis I think would be especially careful with Norton after being ko'd by Hasim and Oliver. Ken had a crunching overhand right, and it did well against taller fighters. I think that era of Lewis would get banged hard to the body by Ken and catch a couple of really good overhands. Kenny would decisively lose, but I see a decision there (during the aforementioned Steward era). The extremely aggressive, mean-as-hell, mostly-puncher, pre-Steward Lewis runs Kenny over within a few rounds, max.
Tyson wasn`t in his prime in `89 because Rooney left, he didn`t use the same guile and skill anymore, Lewis after Steward took over landed more rights because he set them up better with the left against Frank Lewis`s 1-2`s were mainly missing.
Foreman and Shavers landed better shots than Tyson landed on Bruno, it was an ugly, messy fight with Frank grabbing Tyson`s head and slapping him.
Hmm. A bit pointless me posting now. Might not agree on the exact rounds but that's pretty much how I've got it.
