At least we defo knew who the Gaffa was, even if his style didn't please you, he was a very dominant champ
most people actually had the opposite view that you couldn’t tell who the real number one was because they refused to fight each other
I miss Wladimir pre Steward and with Steward, but i don`t miss Wladimir with the so call "trainer" Banks. The only solid fight Wlad have with Banks to be fair was Wach, and that was because he was not aged that much, and Banks was just appointed. Also i very much miss Vitali pre retirement, tho he have very solid matches after his return. Tho Vitali retired at the top, and Wladimir could not do that and miss the time and make big mistake with Banks.
Yes. They were great ambassadors for the sport. Having doctorates, speaking many languages showed the world that alot of boxers are not dumb brutes and that some are really intelligent. AND they did it on the highest level. It also show the world that you can come from a solid family background. I loved their ring entrances giving respect to former past heavyweight greats. Not just a show like Naz.
It's always frustrating when the top two guys in a division don't get it together, but it was understandable in this case. If they had agreed to face each other, the bout would have been a glorified exhibition. Neither brother would have had any intent to do any damage whatsoever, and the tapfest would have been infinitely more frustrating than the lack of a fight between the pair ever was. Vitaly possessed the magnanimity of a true big brother, he was happy holding the spare trinket and being the B champ while Wlad caught the better part of the glory.
My personal view is that condemned prisoners should be forced to watch reruns of Klitschko fights. They were so boring it was unbelievable.
