The Golota who battered Riddick Bowe fights the Liston who KO'd Williams.

I proudly and confidently voted for Liston to stop Golota....emphatically. And God help Andy if he decided to foul Liston.

Golota would survive the first round, but gets battered then doesn't come out for the second. He gets a shower of beer and popcorn on his way back to the lockeroom.

    Golota probably quits first.

Golota only battered Bowe because Riddick was slipping fast. Imo.
If he takes on the, hungry, powerful Liston, then it's a different scenario.
Andrew may start out good and confident, but once he starts to feel Liston s shots smacking in to his head and body, and see his best shots bounce off sonny's chin with little effect.. Then it won't be long before he's looking for a way out.
Golota pulls out at the end of the 5 th, claiming he's seeing double!!

No problem for Liston. Golota would be lucky to last 3. Real lucky.

Golota beat a mysteriously shot Bowe. Big deal. The horrifying part, to me, is that I get the feeling Bowe was permanently damaged after that second fight in particular, in manifold ways.

What many people don't talk about is that the fights ruined Golota as well.

I also think Golota fouled himself out (forgot which fight) because though he was clearly getting the better of the action he was hurt and couldn't stand that he was hitting Bowe with his best shots and couldn't put him away. If iirc he was actually in trouble in the 2nd fight when he threw the low blow and was looking for a way out.

I personally think Golota was getting super tired in both fights and just gave up. Especially in the 2nd, where in my opinion the ref should have stopped the fight at least two rounds before that, because Golota knocked the living crap out of Bowe, TKO'd him.

The ref really was responsible for the damage both men incurred late in that fight.

Just my opinion. But look how he gave up against Iron Mike. Same thing to me.
