Just watched Graham Earl vs Katsidis, what a fight that was. Anyone else got some classics which don’t get mentioned much..
great fight mate but I wouldn’t call that a forgotten classic always being talked about and mentioned on a regular basis.
Not heard it mentioned in a longtime, was in the early days of me being a hardcore rather than casual fan.
I watch that fight about every 6 month defo a classic. The part where Vann throws the towel back out of the ring, what a guy! Recent years, Appleby v Walsh to kick off the BN years was a classic now imo
Kostas Petrou v Rocky Kelly is still out there on YouTube and is a fabulous fight. It used to be regularly mentioned but time has seen it fade. Both these guys were in one terrific fight after another. Great lockdown watching. I have looked everywhere for footage of the Mike Whalley v Les Walsh fights and I know they were broadcast on the old Fight Night series. They were unbelievable tear ups between not just gym mates but genuine best mates.
Also meant to say Wally Swift v Tony Collins. I won't say anything about it in case I give something away. I'm just jealous that you'll be watching it for the first time !
Mark Kaylor v Errol Christie was fun. Fighting in the street during a media day, bad blood etc. Kaylor won after a great action-packed scrap. This was during the mid 80s, Minter was earlier retired by Sibson, Herol Graham was around, the domestic Middleweight scene was never dull !
Another vote from me for Thompson Sellers. Worth watching if you can find it, a real back and forth classic
