    OK, granted Ali was great for his era, but didn't Holmes and Berbick represent a fundamental advance in ring science, that he was simply unable to adjust to?

    Exactly. If Chavez Sr. was better he would have been a light heavyweight. In reality, this is not so. Cant see any logical counterarguments to this

    If you watch their actual fight Then it shouldn’t take much convincing that Ali would have easily won five years earlier

    Nah, he is just having fun & making a point about the illogic & irrelevant factors folks use to make predictions.
    Though given his emphases on size, at first I though he was being serious...
    But Berbick looked bigger & heavier than he really was.
