    No he wasn't. He was a big puncher and even floored a prime Louis. He was also a top rated contender.

    He looked hopeless in every film I have seen of him. Survived for a while against Louis because of size. Fury or Joshua or wilder or either klitschko would go through him like butter.

    Buddy would be a punching bag for Wlad. Yeah, he caught Louis who had defensive issues, Wlad did not.

    I don't think that Buddy is good enough to beat Wladimir, but calling Baer a bum is a wrong thing. He wasn't technical boxer, he was a huge durable brawler with tremendous power and these kind of opponents are always dangerous:

    Buddy wasn't very skilled. Have you seen him fight? It would be target practice for Wlad.

    Louis like it or not was floored by guys who would not crack the top ten today, and its a really weak top ten today.

    My issues is because Louis was caught and floored by the likes of Braddock, Galento, and B Bear, some think the same types of boxers could do the same to Wlad. Very slim chance.
