I don't think anyone questions whether Byrd could have easily made Cruiser(190 or 200) without losing anything.

Predict Byrd's record vs these fighters at CW:

    Jean Marc Mormeck
    Fabrice Tiozzo
    O'Neil Bell
    Virgil Hill
    Juan Carlos Gomez
    Johnny Nelson
    Guillermo Jones
    Steve Cunningham
    James Toney
    Vasilly Jirov

Bonus Question: What would Holyfield and Usyk's record have been vs this lineup?

As soon as he dropped weight he got beaten like a twenty dollar *****, so I don’t think he’d do well. He needed the speed advantage to do as well as he did.

You think cutting 10-15 pounds would really make a difference most cruisers in the 200lbs era are cutting at least 20-30lbs.

Anyway predict Byrd vs each of the opponents

Shhh, that's a secret. I'd pick Byrd to win most. Maybe Gomez could beat him.

I was thinking the same thing. Gomez is one of the most underated guys and would be the toughest matchup stylistically for Byrd in my opinion. I remember reading somewhere that James Toney was offered a fight with Gomez and he wanted no part of him. The guy could fight.

Virgil Hill was pretty much on the slide when he was a Cruiserweight so I would favor Byrd at 190. Prime for prime if they met at 175 I would take Hill.

Jirov is the only other guy that I think would do well against Byrd. He had a lot of Amauter experience and knew how to fight a fellow southpaw. With that said, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting money on him.

Byrd would be a cruiserweight king but wouldn't make nearly the money he did at heavyweight.

It is the key. Cruiserweight division is the poor division, nobody gives a crap about this weight class

I notice you dip out of debates when the hard questions are asked. Lets close it off here since you you tapped out in yesterdays thread.

Vitali's two best wins are against guys that were past their prime. It goes without saying Sanders was past his best and Peters was clearly past his best as well.
You argued Arrola was washed up against Stiverne , but in actual fact he reached a turning point in his career and was in great shape.
He had two blow out wins before and after the Stiverne loss. He had also previously destroyed McCline.

Peter was clearly in woeful shape against Vitali. A year earlier he went life and death with McCline and right after the Vitali loss , he took another loss to cruiser weight - Eddie Chambers.

If Arroela was washed up against Stiverne like you claim , then Peters was even more washed up. You struck yourself out.
Vitali's two best wins are against guys past their prime.

Interesting. You don't think Guillermo Jones could pressure him and possibly stop him? You think he would out box Toney?

Fighters win fights past their prime all the time. Sanders had one foot out the door already when he was thought to be a safe voluntary by defense by Wlad

Primes aren't based on narratives they are based on records, the Wlad fight is not only Sanders's prime its the apex of his whole career. To say he was all of a sudden past his prime the very next fight is 1 of the most ridiculous things that I have heard.

    Cherry picking primes MUST STOP

So Foreman was prime when he beat Moorer?

Are Tubbs and Rahman better than Wlad cos they knocked out a primer version of Sanders.
