Boxrec's top 10 p4p all time rankings: 1: Ezzard Charles 2: Archie Moore 3: Sugar Ray Robinson 4: Harry Greb 5: Joe Louis 6: Bernard Hopkins 7: Floyd Mayweather Jr 8: Henry Armstrong 9: Billy Conn 10: Charley Burley Is this list better or worse than their previous rankings?
There are a few things I’d change. I think Muhammad Ali and Durán should be in there. I like the fact that Charles is #1. And I also like that Mayweather is top 10
TERRIBLE! I DON'T SEE ALI, DURAN, OR FOREMAN. Plus many others. Robinson & Floyd are the only people I'd have up there. The boxrec rankings are off the boxrec "points" am I correct? If not, how do they measure them?
It's strictly computer generated, based on some rather complicated formulas: https://boxrec.com/media/index.php/BoxRec_Ratings_Description
Does it measure quality of competition at the time a fighter faced them? If they did Mayweather, Hopkins, and Greb wouldn't be on the list. And I would ask, how many fights the "computer " saw Greb , Burley and Conn fight? That list is nonsense conducted by some numbers pusher that programmed the " Computer " and probably haven't seen a boxing match in his/ her / it life. You know the type, the kind that would say Mayweather Jr is the greatest in history because he went " undeafeated ".
