You are granted 3 wishes by a Boxing Genie - you can choose anything you want to personally influence boxing history. What 3 things do you choose? I'll start off: 1. Alexis Arguello gets the nod over Vilomar Fernandez in their first fight (sorry, Vilomar) and fights Duran for the world lightweight title in 1978. 2. Sugar Ray Robinson is revived with smelling salts in between the 14th and 15th rounds of his fight with Joey Maxim and survives to the final bell, lifting the world light heavyweight title. 3. Salvador Sanchez decides to stay at home rather than get in the car and lives on to fight for the unification of the World featherweight title against Eusebio Pedroza.
Let's make 3 things: 1) All of the fights in "filmed era" were filmed and saved 2) Make unified fights between long-reigning champs (Galindez-Conteh, Palomino - Cuevas, Sanchez - Pedroza ...) 3) There are ideas about medical measures to protect fighters, but I can't say anything specific...
Ezzard Charles didn't have to go to the war, and so in '44/'45 he fights, and beats, Jake LaMotta, Bert Lytell and Holman Williams. Gus Lesenvich did the honourable thing and gave Charles his title shot. Charles got the nod in all of his close decisions (including but not limited to: Johnson, Layne, Overlin and Marciano) No but in all seriousness, mine'd probably go with something like this: Every single fight ever was filmed, and in coloured HD, available to public. Same day weigh-ins return Yuh and Chang's management come to an agreement in '86/'87 and it becomes the greatest fight ever, in one of the final 15 rounders
1) love the all fights are filmed one so stealing that. 2) 15 round championship fights stay 3) 1 belt each division and Dana white runs everything lol
