"I rate Usyk alongside Fury as #1 Heavyweight for doing absolutely nothing". Lay off social media hype trains and judge with your head for a change.
I cant see anyone technically better than him, of course he could lose against one of them, but looking at it hes the fav in all of them bar Liston, even then that's old Liston and Usyk has great legs movement. A match up with Ali v Usyk is a great fight. Its not set in stone that Ali wins
usyk shouldn’t be rated at heavyweight yet. It’s all speculation how good he will be. his cruiser record is spectacular however
He'll spin Chisora dizzy with movement..It'll be similar imo to Gassiev, tap tap move, mix in some heavy shots, move again. Chisora is tailor made for him
How do you arrive at this? Based on what? Usyk has beaten no one at hw. You obviously believe usyk to be super human. What a ridiculous post.
I'm willing to give Usyk a chance to impress as a heavyweight. Fun and games aside, a 'Who Ya Got' for Ali-Usyk isn't really a fair question for now. It certainly doesn't do Usyk any favors to denigrate Ali's ability to evade punches without acknowledging that he -had two distinct careers (one characterized more by extraordinary athletic prowess, the other characterized more by experience and acquired nous) -fought on way too long (eating shots from Earnie Shavers and banging it out with him when you should be enjoying your pipe and slippers after a full career might just give you Parkinson's).
Comparing the likes of Breidis, Gassiev and Beterbiev to Muhammad Ali shows just how clueless about boxing you truly are
They are not the same size ( Ali was bigger) but that is not what I am even talking about. If a boxer deserves to be put on a pedestal it’s Ali as the world had never seen a heavyweight move with such speed of hand, speed of leg, sheer athleticism and combination punches before.Usyk has a legitimate case to be ranked as the 2nd greatest Cruiserweight ever in the history of the sport but please don’t compare him to the greatest ever in history at heavyweight arguably pound for pound until we see what he does at heavyweight.
This is the same weight roughly Ali operated at, Usyk isn't going in against a 6 9" super heavyweight weighing 270lb in Ali's reign, hes fighting men smaller than him, a lot smaller. Its not the same landscape, Usyk would be right at home in the heavyweights of the 60, 70's weight range, with a big size advantage like Ali over most his opponents
One of the greatest rounds I've ever set eyes on (although Ali shouldn't really have been in there); This content is protected
Usyk cut weight to make 200lb and is 6 3", prime Ali come in at 210 roughly, not cutting and was 6 2", and Usyk is a thicker man up top, barrel chested. Ali was not naturally bigger Agreed Hes arguably no1, most have it up in the air as 1 or 2, I think his run was better at cruiser Again, your forgetting that Usyk isn't fighting a bigger fighter, we don't need to see what he could do against super heavys for that or how he would fare aginst men much bigger or stronger than Ali that's around today, Ali's a modern day cruiser
I think the bit that shocked everyone in the Liston fight was the lack of a punch.... eta:Thought Ali was 6' 3- 4 Not that it matters .
The question should be how does Ali beat Usyk. I see a fairly comfortable points win for Ali where Usyk is constatntly hit with whipping hooks, one two's and right hand pot shots. Usyk opts to be box from distance half to three quarters way through as he worries about being stopped on his feet. Usyk's face looks beaten up and bruised at the end. He's man enough to accept defeat.
