Leonard said he really lost the Hearns rematch and Ali said, I think, that he really lost the Norton rubber. Are there any other examples?

I leave the scoring to the judges, I am not qualified to do the official scoring, but like anyone else I have my opinions. The official scoring is what counts.

It's very rare in perhaps the most narcissisitic of sports most boxers have a big ego

I’m sure Danny Garcia admitted to Peterson post fight that he lost but was then awarded the decision and looked shocked

No, he said that he was disappointed in his own performance and that it was a close fight, but not outright that he felt he lost the fight.

I recall Lupe Pintor having an extremely shocked reaction when he got the nod over Carlos Karate. I don't know if he later admitted that he felt like he lost, but his look when the decision was announced spoke volumes.

edit: Carlos Zarate, of course. Geez, I hate auto-correct sometimes, just sticking its nose where it doesn't belong. To paraphrase my friend Jane, what gives it the right?

I heard Karate gave him the chop all night long and quit boxing to take up karate again after the decision loss.

Some fighters have admitted they got a bit of a gift years after the fact. It's a pretty rare fighter who acknowledges on the night that they got away with one. A rare exception, however, was Richie Woodhall, who in his immediate post-fight TV interview at ringside admitted that he thought Glenn Catley beat him and that he was surprised he got the decision in their WBC 168 lb title fight in 1998.

James Toney admitted that he got, in his own words, "a gift" against Dave Tiberi and that he should have lost. Only problem was that the fight took place in 1992, and he didn't admit it until 2008.

Just what the hell are you trying to say here? It’s like you’ve just answered a question that no one here actually asked.
