Exactly. You think if Fury was 5’10 of Ruiz height he would be as dominant? If he did t have that height and size advantage he would be as dominant? It’s extremely illogical. It’s in the words “Pound for Pound”. If Chavez Jr was to beat up on Lomachenko would he be p4p then? I mean he did enjoy a large size advantage but who cares right. And to your argument that men of fury’s size rarely perform like him, errr it’s all about talent pool size. Fury is the first to do that because there’s like 10 in boxing history of his size. If there’s been 10,000 of him in boxing he’d be a small fry in terms of how good he actually is for his size.
Would he elect to be a heavyweight if he were 5'10"? Which division might he look to squeeze into if he were rescaled to 5'10", how hard might he crack relative to that division and how would he generally fare? Could be the variables wouldn't conspire in his favor the way they've tended to at heavyweight. But Wilder is not all big man fighters. In the case of a man Fury's size, the behemothic build usually hinders them when it comes to the better heavyweights (Valuev was schooled by Chagaev and an ancient Holyfield, and just about pipped by Haye, while Tye Fields couldn't even navigate a Monte Barrett). If Tyson Fury were reduced to, I dunno, whatever height, he may well make a superb super middleweight, bearing in mind his fighting IQ, his rounded skillset and the enhancements in coordination, litheness/dexterity, quickness and accuracy such a rescaling might be expected to bring. Would he then be ruled out of the P4P equation on account of unusual height for SMW? Was Hearns not P4P caliber as a welterweight? Some might make the argument that Tyson Fury has actually transcended what is typically a limitation when it comes to hanging with the best at HW. Can you think of another man of his yeti-like stature who has fought near as well? Wlad was the #3 P4P at one point. And Fury didn't beat him merely by being a behemoth. He weighed in under 250 and beat him because he's athletic, slick, clever and knew how to use what he had. Wlad would have Wach'd Valuev over 12 and played a merry tune on Tye Fields inside a round.

Based on what? You're the fastest out of 1000 competitors who weigh 147 = p4p. You're the fastest out of 2 other guys your size = pound for pound? You guys don't get the concept of talent pool size. If you only had 10 competitors the size of 147, you would have to wait 10,000 years to see fighters who move like Pac and Floyd. Their athleticism is 1/1,000 competitors. Fury's meanwhile is 1/10. Back in 1920s, guys the size of Willard moved like Willard because there was only 1 of him. In 2000s, guys the size of Valuev moved like Valuev because there was only one of him. If there was 10,000 Valuev size guys, you would have FAR more people who can move like Fury. The talent pool is just so small for men that size so how can you make a claim that guys that size don't move that well? Have you not seen NBA players? Those guys are some of the most athletically gifted people on earth! If there were only 5 players playing basketball, you'd see crums on talent too.
