Specifically the Bowe 2 fight Holyfield? Is this a winnable fight for the Real Deal?

Fergy you forgot the options tko.
My reasons are simple, old Foreman only throwed a predictable 1-2 and the young Foreman was an aggressive killer puncher like a young Mike Tyson, this type of guys are not made in a gym, they were born like that. They did hit you to hurt you badly not only for the win.
Foreman would hit him with savage haymakers and was a tremendous finisher, the problem with evander here is that he was too much brave and he would accept gladly the exchange of blows with Foreman and this would be a HUGE mistake. Hell, if bert cooper was able to hurt him badly then a Young Foreman would finish him by tko. It would be a world war from the begining.

Holy is my 4th favorite fighter of all time. That being said, if you know Vander you know he LOVED to brawl and was prone to getting drawn in exchanges. That's a very bad habit to have against a younger, quicker Foreman.

If Holyfield was going to win this, you would expect him to have done much better against the older Foreman.

Why is everyone saying that Holyfield will be losing a brawl with Foreman?

Read what Ferguson said. This is the far more disciplined Holyfield from the 2nd Bowe fight and that Holyfield knew that he couldn’t beat Bowe by brawling with him like he did in the first fight. He still barely beat Bowe in the 2nd fight but it would have been a lot easier against the far slower more predictable young Foreman. Holyfield by decision or late TKO.

Foreman would stop him in a brutal fashion if it turned into a war you cannot bring the fight to "Big" George.

Old foreman had a chance to KO Holyfield in round four (think he would have if he went all out think he was afraid of gassing). Young foreman absolutely would have imo.

This is theee most likely scenario Buddy. Holy gets drawn in and Foreman devours him..but it's if only Holy can't stick to that disciplined plan. I've a feeling if he does that he may stand a chance.

Young Foreman is too slow and predictable for Holyfield...a KO from Holy wouldnt be surprising...the Old was too chinned to knock him out

Question? Who was the prime Foreman? The younger version was an offensive powerhouse for 5 rounds but very open to counters in fights where a live opponent actually fired back and landed - Norton never was able to go on the offense and Frazier was busy rising from the floor 6 times in 2 rounds.

The older version learned how to fight smart and roll with punches and save energy ( Archie Moore style) so while the physical superior man was the younger version, the older guy was a smarter fighter

If Holy can get past the early rush and take younger Foreman past the 5th the fight starts to swing in his favor.

even with his flaws the younger version was his prime and is much better h2h and it is not even a debate, a 42 years old guy could be all the patient that you want that still he never will be in his prime at 42.

i don't think that he would past this 5 rounds with a young undefeated foreman

I think Holyfield outboxes big George. Holyfield speed, footwork and technical ability and defense are all really good. I think he'd catch Foreman's shots on his gloves and beat Big George to the punch most of the time.
