I can't pick a winner between these two yet, I rate both of them highly. Warrington is more proven, but Stevenson looks like he has the potential to be a truly special talent. Hope the fight fight happens, I can't see it being anything else other than a brilliant fight.

As long as he gets made super. I thought they'd already upgraded him but there's no reason he shouldnt be moved to super now.

Apparently they're in talks with all 3 champions now.
I asked Josh his favourite, he said 1st. GRJ. 2nd S.Stevenson. lastly Can Xu.
He's the no1 Fw now and Grj is 2nd a fight for them two and he said the ring belt is on the line.
Can't fault the lad for wanting to test himself.

Warrington would give Stevenson a beat down. His volume would be too much for young Stevenson.

Stevenson wanted the fight in Leeds but hasn't heard from Hearn:

    Also thought Galahad beat Warrington.

Its easy to say that after not getting the fight he wanted. On the flip side hearn claimed to have spoken to all the other champions before agreeing terms for a unification with someone else. So who are we to believe.
Also if he believed kid won why not pick him as voluntary defence and try to beat him in more style than warrington to make a statement

According to FW, Warrington turned down fights with Santa Cruz and Russell Jnr in the States. Stevenson is the other champ. He's not fighting him.
Another Sofiane Takoucht (Soft Touch) at Leeds Arena?

His cv is full of soft touches lmao. Fw and jw said the purses were poor and made counter offers with more money on the table which were turned down. It's all hear say. Also the change of promoters changes things but one thing for sure is warrington has proven his no ducker and one soft fight (lad was ranked 3 by ibf). They have agreed can xu fight is that a soft touch.....

I'd go with Warrington in this one especially if it's held in Leeds.

Stevenson is a talent, no two ways about it... but at 22 years old and in the 13 pro fights he's had, has he shown that he could light up Josh Warrington? I don't think so.. far from it.

Warrington's run of Selby, Frampton and Galahad was superb and I think in the first two fights when he's shown he's up for it... he's an absolute handful. I personally don't think he was "up" for the Galahad fight who by the way is a brilliant and avoided fighter in his own right, Lee Selby recently came out and said he thinks Galahad is the number 1 in the division having sparred etc with him.

Warrington has turned down Santa Cruz and Russell jnr in the States. The other champion is Stevenson who says he hasn't been approached. If Warrington wants to unify he has to fight a champion.
Can Xu is a "Regular" champion. In 20 fights he has had 3 knockout wins in China. He has had 2 losses.
Fighting him in Leeds is an easier option than the 3 champions.

Stevenson will pick Warrington apart, easy. A fighter who narrowly escaped a win over Galahad is gonna get peppered when he tries to rush Stevenson. Stevenson will sharpshoot him to death, spacing and keeping/holding range and using it to slow down opponents output is Shakur's biggest advantages. He will have a field day with Warrington.

I don't hate anyone. It's a boxing forum. Some posters have pushed the Josh to Vegas stories. I have balanced it by pointing out he turned down Santa Cruz and Russell jnr and now Stevenson says he's been swerved.
I'm not forgetting that you posted about him fighting Lomachenko:eek:
