Guy had a hostile reaction to my uncle (a raconteurish, easygoing, relatable Italian New Yorker) striking up conversation with a couple of Bernard's crew when we were all stood in line at the Cafe Roma (Hopkins waited in line like everyone else, albeit off to the side chatting with fans, while other fighters including Matthysse jumped the queue). The pair were happy to engage (Hopkins' other half and some guy I didn't recognize), were chatting with my uncle for ten minutes or so while we all waited, and Richardson was glaring at him taciturnly with poisonous eyes the whole time like he'd offered him pork. Also, we left shortly after Richardson, who himself left a few minutes after the rest of the Hopkins crew for some reason; we naturally had to walk some 20 feet behind him for some way through a deserted casino in the early hours in order to exit the place, and he was intermittently turning around and staring back at us the whole way. Weirdo.
I respected Cotto, I was ringside at his first 2 pro fights in Texas but he then proved to be nothing but a whining diva. He got his ass whupped LEGITIMATELY by Antonio Margarito & accepted it at the time but when that fracas with the ludicrous loaded gloves accusations occured he immediately accused Tony of cheating in the fight.I have no respect for him

Richardson , which he does at most fights when his fighters opponent was getting their hands wrapped, complained about the wrapping & demanded they be removed. Tony says OK & puts up his hands. Then the POS claimed he saw "PLASTER BLOCKS " fall from the wraps which was the blatant lie that started the ball rolling. No one else ever saw those "BLOCKS" Tony was suspended on SUSPICION only When those wraps were tested by an independant lab all that was found was a HARMLESS used pad Javier Capetillo accidently put in instead of a new one. There was NEVER any plaster involved but the CSAC upheld the suspension on SUSPICION Tony had "TRIED' !!! to load his gloves which was ludicrous. Richardson should have been kicked out of boxing long ago
