Jcc was involved in arguably the biggest robbery in boxing history with his draw with pea whitaker and he's seen as the GOAT of Mexican boxing Please don't compare a horrible robbery of jcc-pea to ggg- canelo 1. Ggg-canelo 1 was a close fight jcc-pea was a schooling and flat out robbery.
Pernell would have done the same to Canelo if he was the same size or closer so what's your point? I'm not convinced he couldn't have beaten a 154 Canelo actually.
Maybe he could have but my point is that you're talking about canelo and robberies when the goat of Mexican boxing was involved in the biggest robbery of all against pea whitaker and it didn't hurt his standing. Canelo-ggg 1 even if you felt ggg won it was no where as clear as pea beat jcc and was given a draw. That fight with ggg wont hurt canelos standing among the mexican greats when its all said and done.
You have your opinion I have mine. You once again proved you are incapable of refuting my points. Was the fight close? Did Kovalev keep Canelo at bay with his jab? Did Kovalev manage to escape getting viciously countered for much of the fight? Have many top fighters who fought Canelo tweaked their style to a more cautious style for him? Did Koavlev not say before the fight that they would box him instead of using their physical advantages? Come on man, it's not that hard to answer.
I'm not really talking about robberies. I didn't say that. I'm saying he tends to be run close in his big fights every time. And that's a fact. You don't have to think he's won robberies and you can think he's won all of them but you have to at least admit that.
Yes he had close fights with ggg and lara he beat jacobs clearly everyone else he has been pretty dominant.
Many top fighters have close fights against other top fighters. Hell, even Golovkin had close fights in ALL of his big fights.
I fall short of accusing Pac & Freddie of loading Pac's wraps but When Garcia complained about them Freddie absolutely refused to remove them. Why? If he'd nothing to hide? Where did Pac's sudden punching power come from ? When that POS complained about Tony's wrap Tony held up his hands so they could remove them. Would he have done that if he knew there was anything illegal in them ??? NO!! He'd have done what Freddie did
Okay sure, let's go with that - if Morales was past prime, it was barely. He was on a very good streak and had a case for winning his last 14 fights... If he was past prime at 28 then GGG was definitely past prime at 36. But he did, officially... twice - I thought fan's scorecards don't count? Good thing he won every round then. Also, he wasn't "shot" this fight ruined him. He broke his face, which is what made him shot. Furthermore, wasn't he like 15lbs heavier on fight night? Convenient you leave that out. Oh no! Not a catchweight! Almost like someone else we know. Your hating of Pacquiao is very strange. Especially in favour of the infinitely less proven and more manipulative Canelo, who has actually failed a drug test. You're also neglecting to mention the fact that Pacquiao started as a FLYWEIGHT and is talking about guys ranging from 130 to 150.
Carefully orchestrated you say? You would be an expert after all though... https://thegruelingtruth.com/boxing/history-bad-judging-canelo-alvarez/ @Bustajay - I hope you've been keeping @IsaL and @22JM honest while i've been away.
I disagree with the 0 damage but I know what you mean. Floyd more out boxed, out smarted, timed and frustrated him where as the other fights he mentioned were tougher dog fights. However Pac and his over the top fans will always be salty about the Mayweather fight it's just the way the cookie crumbles.
