    He would have emerged as the best of the five, and that is about as much as is realistic for anybody!

    I agree. Joe was just too good overall to be overshadowed by those guys. Only 60s Ali was better imo (though I see Holmes as not terribly far off from either).

    He loses against all of them. Boxing moved on. Louis didn't have the advantage of having Steward, Benton, De Amato and Futch train him.

    Think he beats them all except possibly Lennox. Tyson Might get him too...might being the key word. Holyfield and Bowe are to easy to hit. And anyone to easy to hit isn’t lasting long against Joe. He does well though over all.

    I'd pick him to lose to Tyson in 88 and Lewis in 97, but he'd beat all 4 in the early 90s.

    I'm quite curious, too. Elaborate, please. Louis' time was only around 15 years before Cassius Clay. So,did boxing move on since 55 years ago?

    Because I don't see anyone today beating Cassius Clay (even the thought is hilarious to me)...not entirely confident on Liston getting beat by anybody these days, either (the latter is nearly 60 years ago and only 10 after Louis).

    Fury got knocked unconscious by Wilder, who was nothing as a finisher compared to Liston. And Liston wasn't a whole lot less as a puncher (definitely not). And a far better boxer to boot. Joshua would have gotten stopped, too (Liston was such a better fighter than Ruiz it's ridiculous).

    No offense to fans.

    I think he has about a sixty percent probability of beating any one of them individually, but a considerably lesser chance of beating all of them. (Indeed if you take this literally the chance is a little less than 13%.)

    In truth no one survived the dawn of the 90s without a loss. And that includes about 4 all time greats

    Why? I don't see any reason why Louis would have worse career than Bowe in 1990s.
