I think the most Thai who had the most natural ability was Samart.

    My List. No order

    Venice Borkhorsor
    Pone Kingpetch
    Veeraphol Sahaprom
    Samart Payakroon
    Wonjongkam

Read a user called Flea man. He is easily the most knowledgable on Thai fighters, and very knowledgable on these weights in general.

Edit: **** I forgot Sot Chitalada!

    Hmm, tough one. Probably:

    #1. Kingpetch
    #2. Sahaprom
    #3. Wonjongkam
    #4. Muangsurin
    #5. Chitalada

Re: The Galaxies - Khaosai was an animal and has a tonne of defences and a bag of talent but he was making defences over a bunch of overmatched guys. No unifications or real challenges. His résumé isn't up to par, but I can see him as high as #3. Khaokar has the wins over Vasquez and Moon, but he didn't have a long career. He was more talented in a boxing sense than his brother tho, he'd beat him imo.

Samart is extremely talented too, but Pintor was past it and he lost to Fenech. Same with Venice, although his wins over Erbito and González are awesome. He's supposedly a monster at 112 too.

Yeah, I'm a huge Sahaprom fan, but he has the wins and the title defences which the Galaxies don't have on their own.

Chartchai Chionoi would be another one I’d put up there. Deep resume, longevity and the series win over Alacron Torres. Probably Khaosai Galaxy is the overall best but felt he was overrated since his resume lacks quality. He may have gone from overrated to underrated over time.

Good as Kingpetch was and he probably has the greatest scalp (or maybe Rungvisai does with Chocolatito?) with Pascual Perez, I do think Harada was robbed blind in that re-match.

Just to clarify, do you mean best boxers who are Thai? Or Muay Thai fighters?

If you can give both that’d be cool. I’ve recently taken a bit of interest in Thai Boxing.

Yeah, I agree with you. Good post. I did learn more about Chionoi after that post tbf.

And I definitely agree about Harada being robbed, but it's a testament to Kingpetch that he could even come back after the major beat down in the first.

Since you are obviously a Boxing fan, I'd suggest looking up Somrak Khamsing, a very skilled Muay Thai fighter who also won a gold medal Boxing at the Olympic gams, same weight and year as Mayweather. He isn't the greatest Muay Thai tho, there a fair few who surpass him.

    Look into:
Sagat (one of the greatest, also fought Wilfredo Gomez in Boxing)
Saencahi (Best skilled today, another ATG)
Samart Payakaroon (his rep precedes him)
    Namsaknoi (Massive ring IQ)
    Put Lorlek (Old legend)
Veeraphol Sahaphrom (Boxing champ as well)
    Sot Chitalada (Boxing)
    Lerdsila (Slippery as an eel)
Dieselnoi (physical monster and knee piercer)
Sangtiennoi Sor Rungroj ('The deadly kisser')

    1) Chionoi (No doubt)
    2) Khaosai
    3) Kingpetch (maybe too high...)

Further Pongsaklek, Chitalada, Borkhorsor, Sahaprom, Muangsurin.
