Stylistically Margarito would of destroyed Mayweather makes so much sense he did not fight him

If Floyd legitimately beat Castillo & Maidana in their first fights then Roy Jones jr got his ass legitimately kicked in the Seoul Olympics. Remember you say the judges are always right lol

You don't understand the difference between a close fight and a robbery pbf-jlc was a close fight rjj in the 88 Olympics was pure robbery it wasnt close.

So he was easy work then why duck him? This is what I don't get. Margo is slow and all this talk. But he didn't fight him he went on to fight old washed up has beens and Marquez who just moved up in weight looked fat and Void didn't make the weight.

Margo was voids ultimate test at that time.

    You were saying:deal:
Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

Margo chin is incredible. Mosley was the only one to crack it. Because Mosley hits like a truck and Margo just takes punches flush. Plus he had the scandals playing in his head. He wasn't in the right frame of mind.

Remember Void got caught by Mosley and went stanky legs. Then he ran for the rest of the fight and play safe did his usual pot shot, run and so on. That's all she wrote.

You mean after getting hurt he walked down Mosley the rest of the round and for the rest of the fight proceeded to take that punch away not getting caught again by it while hurting Mosley later and shutting him out that's what a master like pbf does to a guy who made margo his *****. Do you like to act like no one here saw the fight and doesn't know any better? Why do you resort to lying to further your agenda?

I didn't want to post here because I don't care anymore about these subjects, but I really really hate when people over exaggerate soooo much to prop or discredit..lol It happens more in basketball, but obviously boxing too.. Pac threw a little over a thousand punches and Mosley threw like 500.. Nobody taking thousands of flush clean punches anyway.. If you exaggerate that much it's is a flat out lie and you lost all credibility for the entire argument...lol

Agreed but if you accept the judges decision for one you must accept the other

What Margarito should have done was when that POS Richardson pulled his usual tricks was do what Freddie did in the Pac fight & refuse to remove them. Richardson is noted for complaining about opponents wraps
Tony though knew he'd done nothing wrong so just put up his hands & said OK. He was being honest & it cost him his career & tarnished his good name Makes you wonder why Freddie absolutely refused to let Pac's be removed doesnt it ????

No i don't i will always have a problem with flat out robberies like pea whitaker-Jcc or rjj in the Olympics. Close fights like pbf-jlc and ggg- chenko aren't robberies.

Mayweather makes Marg look stupid for the first 4 rounds.... comprehensively outboxes him for the next 4.... and gets roughed up a bit towards the end of the last 4 on his way to a decisive UD, 10-2 or 9-3.

I have never thought that Margarito is capable of beating Mayweather. Not just a second! Stop posting this impossible beating since it's just an imagination. Floyd is not the fighter who will fight toe to toe against Margarito. He will use his best defensive style to frustrate Margarito and kick his ass like he did to all other fighters.

I always thought Floyd ducked Margarito, but I think Floyd beats him by outboxing him, but it is tough. Margarito was a big welterweight and strong and had a good chin. So it would been a tough 12 rounds for Floyd, but I think he edges it.

Castillo and Maidana were fast and intense in their pressure, Margarito is slow and plodding, Floyd would have landed at will turning Margo's face into a bloody, puffy mess for a wide decision or doctor's stoppage.

But I can see why Floyd didn't take the fight. Margo was not a name and from a legacy standpoint if he had fought and beaten AM what credit would he have gotten ?? "So what ? Margarito had already lost to Pacquiao, Williams, Mosley, Santos and got caught cheating against Cotto and then schooled in a rematch" That's what the haters would say. Floyd can never win. I'm not saying FM is perfect and he did quite often take the easy route especially later in his career but for some no matter who he beat he got no credit.
