Even though Roman has won titles at 4 weights I still give Arguello the edge as I feel he fought the better fighters. Thoughts?

No. Gonzalez is an ATG, and an extremely skilled one at that, but Arguello was a literal legend with a who's who ledger of killers and stylists.

    No. Absolutely not.

And I love Chocolatito, prefer him to Argüello if I'm honest, and say he's an outstanding fighter and a genuine P4P ATG. However, he definitely not above Argüello.

Arguello definitely greater/better but Chocolatito is one of the modern greats and much like Arguello an absolute credit to the sport.

Arguello is obviously the much greater and accomplished fighter, but that's not a knock on Chocolatito at all, who is also an ATG himself. Both terrific fighters and legends of the sport.

No. The problem is that Gonzales only has two really strong wins in Estrada and Viloria, and to a lesser extent Caudras and Yafai. The first Sor fight was also close.

Arguello just has a deeper resume with Olivares, Escalerax2, Chacon, Mancini, Ramirez, Castillo, Boza and others.

It is also much more difficult to take down belts in the divisions Arguello competed in compared to the two smallest divisions. Flyweight is pretty much the lowest division with decent depth.

    No.

Arguello was both better and greater.

He beat 22 year old Estrada by a hair. Arguably drew with Cuadras. Telling they're among his best wins.

"By a hair" was a 116-112 decision. That's not by hair.

Many people didn't see it that wide. Estrada was a baby regardless. It definitely got retcon'd into a bigger win once Estrada panned out later.

I didn't say it was undeserved. The Cuadras decision was the controversial one.

22 is often prime for those divisions. Beating Estrada at 108 is possibly the best win in the division's history. Segura is the only guy I can think of with a better win there when he beat Calderon.

I thought he won both clearly. At 115 is pushing it too. Estrada IMO will beat him in the re-match.

No, Carabajal over Chiquita is surely above it. Bigger fight, big underdog and a thrilling come from behind KO. Not saying that’s the best win but it’s certainly a better win.

Right. Segura and that one should be ahead currently, but the Estrada win is aging well so we'll see how it's regarded when they're retired.
