Floyd would never fight Margarito Kirk he knew he couldnt beat him
The Mosely fight was a sham Margarito never stood a chance. His career was taken from him based on that blatant lie from that POS Richardson
then he was faced by a juiced to the gills Mosely breathing fire with energy to burn the Ped use was obvious

Floyd would've taken apart Margo like he did Corrales, minus the stoppage... or maybe Floyd gets a TKO because Margo is way behind on the scorecards.

I've never understood this reasoning. The JLC fight is not an example of what Margo could've done because Margo wouldn't have been jabbing to the head and body like JLC.

In his most important fight he/his team resorted to cheating against Cotto. He never beat a great fighter but for some reason he'd beat Floyd. Uh, no.

I mean the amount of punishment taken and being well behind, maybe the ref steps in and stops it.

Floyd wouldn't have stopped Margarito but he can bust him up. You guys are real clowns for underestimating Floyd like you do.

Ok. I'll elaborate further, Floyd doesn't have to have Margo in serious trouble but whipping him in similar fashion to the way he beat Gatti leads to a stoppage at some point.

As many here have stated, Margo simply was not fast enough in foot or hand speed to apply consistent pressure. Nor did he have better footwork than Floyd.

Margo came forward with bunches of punches for guys who were there to be hit. How well did his style work for him against Manny?

Power aside, Manny was simply too fast and presented too many angles for Margo to deal with and he never tracked down Manny himself.

That was Manny's doing all on his own to give the fans a show. He laid on the ropes and stood still long enough to make it interesting at times. Margo simply didn't belong in the same ring with him, it would've been the same with Floyd minus the fractured eye.

Manny and Floyd are two different fighters, I understand this but they both have great footwork, speed, conditioning, angles, defense, etc... Margo doesn't have the tools to track down either of those guys.

Margarito was pretty decent on his feet actually. Chased and cut down Cotto in the first fight.

I wouldn't consider Cotto a very good defensive fighter and he was pretty hittable throughout his career. And Margo still felt the need to tamper his hand wraps.

He very well may have beaten Cotto anyway, minus the way he ended up busting Miguel up.

I wasn't talking about Cotto's defense, was about Margarito's foot speed.

He's a slow plodding fighter who was able to chase down another slow-footed fighter in Cotto. Floyd talked about this in the lead up to his fight with Cotto, how he comes in a strainght line, his head placement, and feet. I recall Floyd specifically talking about Cotto doing those bunny hops on the way in before he punches. He's talking about his footwork.

So, Margo chasing down Cotto isn't much of a surprise to me.

BULL FECES !! A juiced cheating cowardly Mayweather BARELY beat Pac who was fighting injured & in pain after being blatantly sabotaged by the NSAC. Fight should have been made a N/C & Mayweather banned for the illegal IV use

Tony was unmarked practically except for that eye injury in Cotto 2. That was caused by a Cotto thumb which blinded his eye in round 2. Cotto STILL couldnt legitimately beat a basically one eyed Tony Margarito. His friend the crooked doc stopped the fight to save Diva Cotto QUITTING AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be a barely celebrated win over a one-dimensional plodder with no skill and loaded gloves. His choice to move up to fight De La Hoya for the WBC title made a lot more sense and was far riskier as proven.
