Do boxers do anything to try and improve their chin?

I’ve heard punching yourself in the face helps make your chin better I suggest the thread starter try it out

Aj was also highly muscled, green and gassing.

Ruiz he got a temple shot, I think the occasion got to him. Nerves, heavy muscle, trying to impress, fantastic combos from Ruiz. I think his heart broke. Just my opinion

 

I reckon they give him some super strong stimulants before fights just in case he catches a heavy shot

That right from Wlad should have ended him and for the next 2 rounds he looked out on his feet with his eyes rolling back in his head at points but was still somehow able to stay up

watching it live with some boxing friends and some casuals and even the casuals were like wtf where has aj got this energy from?

natural or not that second wind to finish wlad was ....quite incredible

 

I’m sure he is not the only boxer doing it

and yes the way AJ came back was incredible no doubt

 

back to the right from wlad, it SHOULD have been a fight ending shot. Was vicious.

bang on the chin, perfectly set up, Joshua gassed and square on to wlad.

so does this count as

aj- having a pretty fine chin
B- better heart than credit
C- wlad not hitting as hard against a 250lb guy
D- something else?

I’m sure 99% of the population thought Joshua was gonna be stopped even when he got up

 

I think it’s a combination of Wlad getting old and whatever stimulants they pumped Joshua up with plus the shot landed on the upper cheek bone if I remember correctly which isn’t exactly a knock out spot

 

Regarding stimulants-

what would be used? To this day I’m still shocked at how Joshua steamrolled wlad in the 11th without breaking sweat

Not a huge Klitschko fan but was so gutted when he lost. Mainly because for the first time in years he

A- changed the colour of his shorts
B- wasnt boxing defensively
C- took a heavy knockdown, then came back and won the round even although it was joshuas
D- he took heavy artillery and went out on his shield

if he had done the like v povetkin, haye etc he would be thought of in a less negative light.

shame the early kos scarred him, against AJ he just thought F.uck it

 

it was a great last fight for Wlad I was also gutted he lost as the fight was within his grasp and he let it slip through his fingers

I was always a fan of both klitschko’s as I saw Wlad win the gold medal at the olympics when I was like 10 years old and then saw them both turn pro

Vitali lost Wlad that fight by telling him to play it safe after the 5th round if Wlad had just went for it he would have knocked Joshua out

 

to be fair it was good advice, aj looked cooked, nobody could envisage aj getting a second wind. Also wlad was 41? Couldn’t run the risk of punching himself out

 

Admittedly it looked like the best advice in the heat of the battle but in hindsight if Wlad had landed a few more right hands like the one that dropped Joshua he would have knocked him out
