By chance did you want Andy Ruiz to just bypass the Joshua rematch and just fight Wilder?? I’m not aware of your post history so I’m just asking. I’ve recently seen alot of hypocritical statements of this nature. Although I feel Fury would beat Wilder again I’m all for the due process just as I was for AJ to have a chance to get his belts back.

And what makes you think that? I think Fury has no such desire, he's far too lazy and unambitious.

    A) Titles are certainly less important than ever. ESPN just pretended Fury had one anyway.

    B) Never defended one. Kind of an important benchmark.

    C) Don't see how this is related to the belt. I'm fine with fighters making money at the expense of networks. Nice change of pace. Fury can make millions for an easy night out, right?

    D) I agree a third Wilder fight isn't the most important fight he could have. It is still better than fighting a 24 year old Australian cruiserweight which was floated.

    E) Fans do. Not sure Joshua/DAZN/ESPN do. Hard to make cross network fights. DAZN doesn't do PPV. Fury is on ESPN. Seems like a hard gap to cross.

    F) Not sure Wilder having the title again makes Fury look good. Him winning significant fights will. You didn't name many. It's the done-to-death mistake of calling Wilder a fraud while he remains the linchpin in Fury's claim to greatness.

Weird situation to be in, but Fury already had too many asterisks in his career behind the original resume and record, this will only add another one.
He should just defend that WBC strap, and try for the big fight afterwards.

He manages to get his lazy rear off the sofa once every 4-5 years. That's what I call unambitious.

He should fight Joshua to stake a claim as undisputed HW champion and reestablish the lineage that was broken when Lewis retired.

IBF are most organised when it comea mandatories out of the organisations. They enforce their mandatories and dont bend the rules for big names like other organisations (having Glazkov or Martin as IBF champion wouldnt earn them more money than having Fury as champ). Fury knew this when he agreed to the Wlad fight and the rematch clause that the IBF mandatory would be called and enforced if he won and agreed to contractual rematch with Wlad.

As much as I would like to see Fury give Wilder another beating I want see AJ vs Fury more.

Unfortunately it's not going happen going on Frank Warren says. However consdering Arum has recently stated that Fury vs AJ could take place in Jan or Feb next year gives me optimism (that said Arum contradicts himself and changes his mind every day).

The only problem with this is Joshua has been very clear about wanting to be the undisputed champion, so Fury would be throwing away leverage before negotiations between him and Hearn even start. Despite titles being meaningless to most hardcore boxing fans they still hold some prestige to casual paying fans and obviously to many fighters.

Considering how easily Fury beat Wilder in the rematch and Wilder not being able to accept what happened Fury should just finalize the trilogy.
