@Rumsfeld Great work my friend, Holyfield is my all time favourite fighter so it was a bonus to see this pop up in my YouTube feed yesterday. Always felt that if he’d retired after Moorer 2, then he would be held in much higher esteem today. Some how fought on and yet remained ultra competitive 10-15 years past his prime.

Great video Rum, this is a great series and the fans know it.

Serious question, do you think Evander would've had more success i.e less losses, had he stayed at LHW/CW?

He outgrew light heavy and had cleared the cruiser weight division of the top names. I think the move to heavyweight was inevitable and in truth, is the reason he’s an ATG

This brought a tear to my eye @Rumsfeld. Manny is my all time favorite person in boxing and this interview was just great. Makes me want to tell my one Manny Steward story.

A little over 10 years ago I was having lunch in Santa Monica with my father and we saw Manny sitting with Tommy Hearns (both me and my dad’s
all time favorite fighter). We went over just to tell them what big fans we were, hoping for maybe a handshake. Instead, Manny smiled and invited us to have a seat. My dad and I sat down and had the greatest 30 minutes of our lives talking boxing with Manny and Tommy. My dad, a habitual overstepping mug from Leeds, invited them round to our place to watch the Calzaghe/Hopkins fight that was coming up in a few weeks. Manny politely reminded him that he would be commentating the fight ringside for HBO. You could never meet two kinder, warmer human beings. Listening to boxing commentary hasn’t been the same since he passed. Thank you for this piece, Rummy.
