Would you really like to compare the twos record at HW? Who did Tommy beat that was some world beater that I’m missing? His best win was an ancient Foreman and a shot Ruddock. Has very few if any wins against prime ranked opponents. Go look at Moore’s record then come back and tell me who kills who
64-3-2 at HW with wins over countless prime ranked opponents. With his only losses at HW to Marciano, Patterson, and Ali all of whom were ok fighters I guess...did I mention he was over 38 for all of those losses. Tommy beat a shot Foreman And shot Ruddock. That’s it. Moore beat the likes of Nino x 2, Baker, Bivins x4, Harold Johnson, Satterfield, Clarence Henry, Maxim, Lavorante, etc.
I like The Mongoose as being the more skilled and overall better fighter. But I also acknowledge that a few big punches from Morrison COULD cost Archie the fight.
Tommy was clowned by a journeyman a last possible second replacement who got out of the crowd drinking beer....
He was quite gone against Ruddock himself and Foreman the verison we saw against Morrison would beat all those men you mentioned on Archie's winning record quite easily. Archie never tasted this sort of combination of speed and power in a fighter for the first few rounds Tommy was one of the most dangerous men in boxing... Archie has a very good chance of outboxing him to a late TKO though.
Rocky had nothing on Tommy in handspeed and combination punching... he in all possibility hit harder as well.
As much as I love Foreman old George doesn’t run the gauntlet on that crew. Does well but not run the gauntlet
